RL in Sydney has run out of excuses and now is using games in other cities for bad crowds.

Can understand PA supporters tuning in from Adelaide, but 292 in Melbourne is a fascinating number for an absolute blow out, what is really in the minds of those people.

Mind you Carlton looked OK for periods and i have no doubt they are on the up, plenty of good young talent, but seriously should they persist with Casboult ?.

Thing that saddens me ( sadden is probably stretching it) but there was quite a few clubs with the ability to join a National comp from outside Victoria and build to being somewhere near PA 's size.

I can think of four clubs in Perth _ East Perth, West Perth, East Freo and Swan districts that could have been bigger than several Melbourne based clubs and bigger than at least 2 of the Northern clubs.

Port Adelaides fans are probably the most parochial and the history of club has plenty to do with it, that seems missing in some new 'franchises'.
