I'm particularly looking forward to the Tijuana Street Fight between Mariah May and Thunder Rosa – that match has some serious potential. The Continental Classic finals should also be a highlight, with all those big names involved.

It's a very difficult card to predict winners with any confidence, but I'll try anyway.

Okada should win, but the way the Ricochet story has been building, and the possibility of inserting the Hurt Syndicate and Swerve into proceedings at some stage in the show has swung me to Ricochet.

Ospreay gets his payback on Fletcher, but he'll head to the final banged up.

May defeats Rosa. I wonder will that up and coming rookie get involved.

MJF defeats Cole to put an end to this whole drama.

Takeshita beats Hobbs, but it won't be the end of matters.

Mone retains against Statlander, but should be another great contest.

Ospreay gets his win over Ricochet to win the Continental Title.

Moxley retains, but this has overbooking and complexity written all over it.

Should be a great show.

I don’t know if it’s just me but the crowd audio seems a bit strange.

When they pop or chant it sounds pretty good but it’s literally dead silent outside of that. AEW crowds are normally pretty hot so wondering if it’s just a bad night or if the way they have mic’d the building is different

Have I missed any references to the Brisbane show?

As far as I've seen, we're now 3.5 hours in, and no reference to a major overseas arena show that's now less than 7 weeks away.

So what the hell is this show? I'm getting closer and closer to cancelling, it's too expensive for something that might not even be a Dynamite.

Mone and Stat dropped a late contender for Women's MOTY just now..

It’s going to be a Max exclusive streaming show as part of the next streaming deal. It won’t be on normal TV or PPV in the US.

If that's what it ends up being I think I'm likely to cancel, despite plans I've made to catch up with some old friends up there. I spent way too much on flights and hotels to bother going for a C show.

Okada and Ospreay are pretty good at this wrestling shit, hey?

I'm a bit stunned by the result, I thought the Continental belt was going to be the prize for the Ospreay/Fletcher decider in Brisbane.

Some great matches today, but I thought the whole thing felt kind of flat. Certainly the finish wasn't the big moment I think they thought it would be.

The media scrum is also among the most dull they've ever done. We're not done yet though, and I'm still listening to it to see if there's any mention of Brisbane.

QT vs Jarrett, and the 8 man tag were decent pre-show matches.

Jarrett to possibly announce his retirement on Dynamite?

Terrific opener between Fletcher and Ospreay. lmao at Fletcher ripping the fans sign saying Ospreay is better, and the fan had a backup sign! Ospreay busted open bad.

Funny in the other semi the crowd was all over Ricochet for being bald. All the toilet paper rolls thrown at Ricochet after the match was classic.

Women's title street fight, MJF/Cole, International title match, TBS Title all solid at worst.

Ospreay vs Okada great. Ospreay is so good, he stole the show. Put the world title on this man. Great to see Kenny Omega back.

Main event felt like finisher spam. Although I liked Jay White giving Marina a blade runner. Also great to see Adam Copeland back as well.

Still had this PPV, + Wrestle Dynasty to get through. Since the show is mid Feb, maybe there will be announcements 3-4 weeks before.

You use this PPV to start promoting the next one... and I think they probably did when they announced Revolution in March.

WrestleDynasty isn't their show, they've put very little into promoting it.

It's so strange that apart from this Fight for the Fallen/Max debut, I'm not sure what they're building towards.

I would think Kenny Omega and Adam Copeland returning is very encouraging for AEW Grand Slam Australia.

Both guys coming back from solid layoffs. At their age as well can you see them making the trek?

Especially with Kenny backing up a month from Wrestle Dynasty as well.

I hope so, but I wouldn't blame them for not coming.

the MJF-Cole match wasn't that good and the main event was a little OTT, but everything else delivered (and in the case of Takeshita/Hobbs, May/Rosa, and Mone/Stat overdelivered compared to the builds)

nice to see the return of Copeland. obviously Ospreay is amazing.

I’d be pretty pissed if they didn’t make the trip. If you’re trying to impress in your first time in the country then you bring your big stars.
