Looking at the stats it seems Turner has worked his way into the game? Probably pretty nervous first out against his old mob

Or rust, seeing how he's been out for a while.

Still, has looked a rather solid player in the 2nd half. He might get a debut pretty early.

Since Nicks set unrealistic goals for Newchurch to make the side, I say we don't bring in Crouch unless he gets 90 disposals and 35 clearances today
What were the unrealistic goals?

Crouch just needs to play consistently well in the SANFL for about two years and that would entitle him to two straight games in the AFL before being dropped again.

Not surprisingly Newchurch is having a down game, firstly being tagged plus he would have been so disappointed at not getting a game would be hard to motivate yourself after seeing golden ticket Murphy picked ahead of you.
God, people on here make shit up.

Should make him the sub at AFL level. Funny how senior players never get that role.

Game opinions:

McAsey was probably the biggest thing for me this week. Looked like a genuine KPF with how he competed and owned the air and left a bag on the table. Promising.

Crouch played rather well with another 40/1 game. I suppose this is the week we find out if he has a career at Adelaide now as that was a performance that deserves to be selected.

Nankervis, Davis and Cook were dangerous on the outside of the contest. Very good and similar games from all and you could notice when Glenelg clamped them in the third.

Taylor had his best game for the club. Looked like dynamite in the middle.

Gollant and Himmelberg both did a good job as the 2nd-3rd banana. Both took their opportunities and kept dangerous.

Frampton gave McBean a bath.

Worrell, Brown, McPherson and Borlase all had some good moments in defense. Not a difficult day though.

Turner grew into the game. Looked a solid option.

Newchurch was quiet, however it was one of the quiet games that didn't do his selection chances any harm. Pressured well, did a lot when he had the ball however he was beaten by a defender playing out of his skin.

Hinge has been a revelation today. One of the only big bodies we've got and he's throwing it around.
Has done well after some early mistakes
