Rentsch is getting better, basically spent the pre season injured, played the last 3-4 games now and finding his feet.Shows how bad the Crows were on the weekend in that regard...
BTW how are the 2 local GWV Rebels youngsters Sam Breuer and Josh Rentsch shaping up over there.
Sam Breuer especially I thought should be a good pick up, runs hard all day and skills are pretty decent. You would probably remember his old man Shane who was a pretty hand footballer too.
Josh Rentsch is a big lump of a lad, very strong in the air usually and doesn't mind throwing his weight around, more a Forward?Ruck than a Ruck/Forward.
Imagine getting baulked so badly by a tall forward that he can drop the ball and still have time to run past you.
you‘d think 3 out of Rowe, Hately, davis and himm would come in too.. with one to end up as the medsub.. dont think that will be a KPF himm so one of davis, hately and Rowe as medsub..North Adelaide v Adelaide | Bennett Oval, Whyalla | 4:00pm | SANFL Now

Not far for Tariek's family and friends to travel...you‘d think 3 out of Rowe, Hately, davis and himm would come in too.. with one to end up as the medsub.. dont think that will be a KPF himm so one of davis, hately and Rowe as medsub..
so it should be a bloody strong side..
Crushes his spirit? With respect, were you actually in a similar position to Tariek?
Option 1
Have a successful career in the AFL and earn $5 million in todays dollars over the next 10 years.
Option 2
Carve out a successful career as a barista.
I was defending Tariek last year when most on this Board were saying “he’s a bust, cut him loose”.
He has improved enormously in the last 15 months. I would have liked him to debut in recent weeks but if this crushes his spirit then he is not destined to be an AFL player.
Oh Mego, “One good game”.Crushes his spirit?
Jesus Christ, we talk about grown professional sportsmen like they're children.
He has zero chance of any success if small setbacks crush his spirit. The posts on here make Newchurch sound like he's made of butter.
He's played one game that was good enough to demand a spot in the league side. Obviously the coaches wanted to see him back it up, considering he's been so inconsistent. And he hasn't backed it up.

Sure - even I want to give him a chance. I'm really surprised they wanted him to back it up instead of just giving him the opportunity after his really good game.Selection integrity is important, but who in the squad would be aggrieved to see someone like Newchurch get a chance? His form is good enough for a chance.
If anything him not getting a chance would be causing more rancour. You watch his debut announcement video and the squad's reaction if he ever gets a game.
Injured.Where is Brown???
Particularly when the club is in a rebuild & not in finals contention!Outstanding post.
Sometimes you just have to play kids before they are ready. Give them 2 or 3 games to get a feel of the next level and an understanding of what they need to work on to be a consistent AFL player. Then send them back to work on any deficiencies ready for next season.
And who knows, they may just adapt to the higher level straight away - look at Soligo and Parnell.
He can come straight in for McHenry next week.Turner with the Crows first 3 clearances...
North on top early
