Himmelberg was one of our better players and had a good game. Was probably his best SANFL game for the year, or close to it. Weird call to say he was 'back to cruise mode' because he got a new contract based on that.
It was interesting to watch him. He was missing for most of the first until he gave Sholl a real bake for his poor delivery. After that, he threw himself around like a mad thing for the rest of the match. There was no cruise mode then.

Frampton - 32 disposals, 31K and 1HB.

There will be teams interested in him.
Actually turned it over by foot quite a bit today and lost several marking contests to Brynn Teakle when he should have spoiled..

Disposals actually flattered his game today.

Interesting weekend of SANFL results, positions could’ve drastically changed but they ended up back where they started.
Some teams leading into finals have found some form and some have some questions marks over them.
It’ll be interesting how Adelaide go and how dedicated they are to success.

Disposals did flatter his game, but he was one of the better Crows players on the day.

A lot of our top-ups let us down. Brett Turner was woeful.

Frampton can chop out in the ruck, intercept, always elects to go by foot and is a beautiful kick. Teams will come knocking

Turner was clearly I think a break glass in case of an emergency selection. I think the club owes it to the members and fans as to exactly why he was drafted.

Pedlar - I think is fitness. He has had injury issues. If he can get a full pre season in and build his motor, he will be a gun.

Taylors non selection at AFL level is astonishing. He clearly deserved a game.

Why waste a free hit to protect a 14th placed finish ahead of slipping to 15th. Even then, if we lost a mid we had Crouch to lean on if we needed experience, Hately who was fine when played inside or given Taylor a crack. It’s quite disturbing when you think that it’s possible a group of influential people at our club considered where we’re at and decided that a SANFL level footballer was the best option ahead of even a remote chance we’d get an AFL quality player.

As a pure guess because I dont know their thinking, the club didn't want to select a player who could be long term like Parnell because they want list space going into the draft and trade period and they didnt rate anyone enough above who is already on the list. There was nothing wrong really with what they did. However, did Turner know he was a break glass in case of an emergency player or was he promised a genuine selection chance?

Why bother then? He just takes SANFL midfield time from others.

So is it free entry to the sanfl double header this week with Crows silver membership? (Want to go to Sturt v Glenelg game) Does "if permitted" mean if SANFL wanna milk us out of more money? Screenshot_20220821-205353_Samsung%20Internet.jpg

That doesnt mention for finals. Just home and away games. Essential crows actually mentions finals as does the Adelaide Oval Football membership

Why do people assume any reason for picking Turner other than they thought he was the best available player?

Sometimes selections are just for the obvious reason, and they can just be wrong. Turner could have just been the next player on their board.

Its a fair point. The proof is if he stays on the list. I dont think he will.
