Classic Darcy, "It won't be holding the ball" 5 seconds later paid for holding the ball. Honestly, do we not have any better commentators? These muppets have no clue.
The game wasn't tougher, the players weren't tougher, the game was more dangerous. With one umpire, there were a lot of behind the play incidents, and nothing stuns you more than copping one when you aren't looking.

Get the feeling the Dogs are going to break this game open in the 2nd half. They look harder, cleaner and more composed, their skills by hand and the pressure they are applying is unbelievable. The Giants are vulnerable.

Certainly benefited the Dogs. They got back a few players who wouldn't have played your mob without the week off.
I have no issues with the bye from a personal standpoint and didn't help the Hawks that much.
