Classic Darcy, "It won't be holding the ball" 5 seconds later paid for holding the ball. Honestly, do we not have any better commentators? These muppets have no clue.

Still... thegame was way tougher back in the 70s and 80's

The game wasn't tougher, the players weren't tougher, the game was more dangerous. With one umpire, there were a lot of behind the play incidents, and nothing stuns you more than copping one when you aren't looking.

Club of only 15,000 members, up to a third of which are down here in Canberra. What were people expecting? Blame the AFL for crappy pricing and allocation.
They could have put a footy team somewhere that people actually gave a shit about Aussie Rules?

Get the feeling the Dogs are going to break this game open in the 2nd half. They look harder, cleaner and more composed, their skills by hand and the pressure they are applying is unbelievable. The Giants are vulnerable.

Fair to say if GWS lose they'll be scrapping this pre finals bye. Absolutely no coincidence that both prelim finals hosts lose playing only one game in 26 days

Certainly benefited the Dogs. They got back a few players who wouldn't have played your mob without the week off.

I have no issues with the bye from a personal standpoint and didn't help the Hawks that much.

Commentators need to call the play not give their dumb opinion on things, have an inkling we are in for a close one. Shut the $@&& up mate and just be professional. "That's a great word for it Darce, nice call Lingy" no one gives a crap

Personally think this game is atrocious. The skills are awful, low scoring, stupid decisions, over umpired.

I assume people are saying its good because its close and got a bit of physical.

If this standard ever becomes the norm god help us.

Also congrats Sydney 2016 premiers - neither of these sides will worry them if they play like this.

Heath Shaw at half time.
