In my opinion the Hawks are one of the worst 4th placed sides in recent memory, and I think they are going to be exposed for what they really are tonight which is a borderline top 8 side at best. They did find some good form in the back half of the year but nothing to suggest to me they are going to be anywhere near it tonight. Could look like a fool in a few hours time but I'm sticking with that. Good luck to both sides.
The good thing about playing the best is you find out where you really are.

Great experience for our players no matter what happens.

With the rain now hitting the G, wonder what impact this will have on the game and who's structure it will suit more.

I like Mick Molloy, but last night he was a prick. I think that he thinks that the party might just about be over. Very nervous, and he's not alone. The Tigers are the biggest unknown this finals series. I know what to expect from the other 7 teams. Have the Tigers come back to the pack in the last month because they've lost their mojo? Or did they rest players? I can't get a reading. I guess we'll find out. The Hawks I reckon are over rated, the latter part of their fixture was always going to be the easiest. This doesn't mean they won't win. If they do, I won't be surprised. If the Tigers win by 12 goals, I won't be surprised by that either. Don't be fooled by the laughing and frivolity from the Tigers camp prior to the game. It's a smokescreen. They're intention as always is to maim the opposition, and if the umpires let them get away with it, I'm gonna change the channel and watch something else. Probably walker texas ranger. Is there enough walker texas ranger on tv? How much is enough walker texas ranger? I've never thought to myself 'I'd like to watch walker texas ranger, I think I might put on the tv and watch some walker texas ranger'. Walker texas ranger. WTR. WTF. Instead of kiss cam they should put some WTR on the big screen at the G. Maybe get Chuck to perform at the grand final.

So the most consistent team of the year is the one you don't know what to expect? Huh?

We've scored under 77 once and haven't scored over 125.

Let through over 100 twice.
Over 90 4 times.
Over 80 6 times.

So basically 6 times we've allowed more than our 2nd lowest score of the year. Pretty consistent.

The issue with this opinion is that it disregards how strong our season was as a whole when you take out the final 6 weeks. Aside from the two bad losses to Brisbane (and every side this year had a bad loss or two so it's acceptable), our worst loss was 28 points to North Melbourne all the way back in 5, and every other loss was under 3 goals. We recorded a 15-7 season and missed second spot by 1 game.
None of this matters whatsoever going into tonights game, so this isn't a 'you better believe we will beat you!" argument. Just think people have sold short our good our whole season was. I reckon we are more than worthy of our top 4 spot in an even season.

I know Pies fans are all of a sudden in love with things Texan due to their discovery of the joys of Big Cox, but that picture makes me nauseous.

Richmond's, Hawthorn still heavily rely on footskills and are generally not as quick around the ground as the current Richmond best 22. Unless the Hawks bring an excellent contested game all around the ground, Richmond could be in for a very fun night.

Two best coached, drilled and disciplined sides in the league. I think the Tiges might run deeper plus have the belief from last season.

Probably the Tiges by a handful.

Really looking forward to this game, a great way to kick off the finals and loving the Thursday night footy.
Tiggs you’d expect but I do wonder if little Clarko does have something up his sleeve.
