great game, hawks building nicely. cats overused the footy and their midfield was smashed out of the centre. burgoyne going down early and a generous run with the umpiring for the cats kept the game nice and close, but if geelong were playing at home they’d have got over the line pretty easily in the end. the hawks will be deserved favourites this week against richmond and will be hard to beat.

As a neutral supporter, could not really fault the umpires. There was a throw not paid at the end, but there was no one known you could have paid deliberate for the other one. People whinging about Danger, but they were not free kicks against him. Would give Razor and Parnell both 9/10.

When you’ve drunk as much beer as I have over the years at pubs in Richmond yelling at the TV for the Melbourne Demons to ‘****en give something!’ Then you get to a point where either;

A - You’re not welcome in public houses
B - You realise pint after pint of dark ale just makes you fat and hung
C - Drinking and supporting the MFC is about as productive as a psychopath with a gun in Texas

I have experienced all 3. So now I do not drink at all, Bar the occasional (once or twice a year) glass of very very nice wine.
