Not sure what the Lions injury list is like but i think playing a top 2 team ( Brisbane genuinely are a top 2 team this year and deservedly ) going into these game with 6-8 Premiership players missing wont be easy.

Prestia,Houli,Edwards,Caddy,Astbury,Nankervis and possibly Vlastuin/Cotch also might not come up.

Heart says : Tigers 19 points
Head says : Lions 19 points

At the mo missing our second best defender and forward plus our number one ruck. But depth is pretty good and Skinner/Ballenden/Witherden/Answerth are good cover and Big O is a decent replacement for Stef

I would argue that the team we fielded against Essendon is our best team all year. Answerth and Witherden is a better duo than Rich and Lester and Ballenden and Skinner is a better duo than Smith and McStay

If we were at the Gabba I would think we'd have more of a chance, but at a neutral venue...Eh, its still 50/50.

Our defensive rebound was elite against Essendon, we may not see that against a side like Richmond.

We wish it was at the Gabba too.

What is it, 10 in a row that we've won there now, going back to 2005?

Yeah I think your last loss to us there would have been that time we knocked you out of the finals on our way to our threepeat.

What if Richmond went really arrogant and rested someone like Martin?

Cotchin is a maybe, they've already flagged he probably wont do all 4 in this block.

Dusty however is just getting into some form, and there is no way they'd mess with that if they have an option.

True. Not going to rest a Lynch or Riewolt either, right? :(

Dimma essentially said today that barring mishap Cotchin will play tomorrow, but is less likely for Saturday night against Port.

I'm the same with the NRL, I watch a lot of games just for fun, I kind of barrack for the Panthers and Storm by default, but I don't really have a team yet, not to the same extent as the AFL, even though I watch a lot of games.
Same with me. I follow the Storm and want them to win but am not upset if they don't. I watch quite a bit of NRL and just go with the flow most games.

If Brisbane play the way they did in the Qualifying final it'd be a long night for the Tigers

Off a 4 day break it's hard to see that happening though.
I'm not sure what this comment means? What do you mean long night for the Tigers, if it goes like our QF against you we'd be thrilled! Don't see that happening either though.

Probably not. If Brisbane play like they did in that game, it'd be their best game of the year. The Tiges probably wouldn't be able to match that from what we've seen. All things considered Brisbane had plenty more shots on goal and had a tough night with the umpires in that particular game (it happens). The Tigers are not yet at that level yet IMO (at or near their finals best)

Yeah, I know, but I had to give iBeng some hope on that front.

You only won one quarter, the frees were 25-22 your way, and you lost by 47 points.

I'm not suggesting tomorrow will be the same, but....I really wouldn't be looking at that as a model if I was you.

We only won one quarter because we kicked so poorly

We know that the free kick count isn't a good measure, an I recall roughly 3-4 goals unfairly going the Tiges way due to poor umpiring decisions

I'm not looking at a model, I'm just looking at the actual game where we played one of it not our best game of the season, certainly better than we've played so far this year

They're out of form regardless, shut down Dusty and you probably win. Easier said than done of course, but he's the key for us as usual, when he's at his best we just don't lose, he turns the game. One from left field is Shai Bolton, when he touches the ball generally good things are happening for us, he wouldn't be used to a tag either so could be one to target.

I can see the Lions turning this one from recent results against us, with our players out, now is as good a time as any.
