Yep besides last week Brisbanes form at home over the last 3 years is very strong. Different team at the Gabba, going to be very tough to beat. No grimes might hurt us with Cameron due for a big game.
Grimes seemed to be struggling a bit before his injury? He has been very good against us over the years especially on Cameron. But it seemed to be when he got injured it transformed the game - Balta went back where he is much better in my view, and you had more run from the back half.

Assuming Lynch plays, bit of management there? If he doesn't would be a huge blow. Best key forward in the game at the moment.

Martin would help. But seemed to take a while to get going this year, might need a game or two to get back to his best?

Very hard to have confidence as a lions supporter. I am not totally convinced about Richmond as their midfield doesn't look like winning a flag, but it only has to beat our midfield next week which isn't hard!

Tigers in hot form and the biggest threat to the flag. Tigers in close one
Im not sure where everybody is getting that from

Tigers are not in "Hot" form
We have played pretty crap opposition the last 4 weeks and done what was expected
Brisbane had us on toast until they decided to take annual leave early prior to that
Lost to North , Gave up a 40 point lead to GC

Probably neither of these teams are winning the flag.

Would be nice to make a SF/PF, but that's I reckon the cap for both this year.

Lynch has to play for us to be any chance, he's the most structurally irreplacable player on our list right now.

We haven’t lost a game by over six points since Anzac Eve,I’d hate to think what you call bad form.

When you lose to a team thats only won 6 -7 games the last 3 years in north
When you give up 40 point leads to GC
How many times have we been infront by 20+ points into the 3rd quarter to then lose the game
Losing to the Crows

IMO the Tigers and Demons are our 2 hardest match ups, both too good on the spread from contests and turnovers and we always get sucked into contests and leave them with free players on the outside.

Hopeful not confident.

No Grimes won’t matter. Brisbane forwards are insipid. They were a non entity against us to the point I felt we could win by 100.

Richmond should win this.
Only 100? I thought we were going to get done by 150 at half time!

It will be nice to get back to our 2nd home the Gabba

Will bring back fond memories of our 2020 Premiership win
Hope the wonderful crowd that supported us back then are still there and will be at the game

Richmond has always had a good following and record at the Gabba

72 goals in four weeks isn‘t hot form apparently.

Have a look at the teams they were kicked against
Yeah Brisbane, Port, Hawthorn, Essendon. The only “easy beats“ there are Essendon, but even then the bombers have been good on their day. You gotta have some respect for the opposition.

Lets not forget we were underdogs against Port away as well.

Grimes ain't playing even if we managed to get the Grand Final. I've got better legs than him at the moment. The team will try to get ahead very quickly in order to rest Lynch in the 4th, he needs to be kept limber. But that's a luxury we need to earn. Dusty is Dusty. Any rust he has will be shaken off in about 5 minutes. He's called one of the greatest finals performers ever for a reason. He'll hit his ultimate gear instantly.

As for the midfield, I honestly can't remember when we had an average one, let alone a good one. At least 20 years ago or so. It's certainly not a good thing that our midfield consists of one Dion Prestia and no one else, but we've won Grand Finals with worse. But anything can happen. I'm certainly not looking ahead to the Melbourne/Sydney matchup.

I was already leaning towards the Lions before the week 1 match ups had been locked in as the annual 'home team being written off by everyone in week 1' upset, but now that people are probably already salivating at the Richmond in the semi final prospect (either in Sydney against the Swans, or an MCG blockbuster against Melbourne) it makes me even more confident that it won't happen.
