Melbourne are one of the strangest reigning premiers I've seen in recent times.

Go from kicking 16.4.100 to 1.1.7 in forty minutes of GF football to a straight sets exit. A lot of grinding 4-5 goal wins. Very rarely we saw their best. Kept waiting for them to turn on the afterburners but it never happened, not in a single game really. Was it lack of hunger? That's the impression I got a lot from them.

Lever's brain-fade is one of the weirder things we've seen in finals.
Puts the ball on the ground in a tackle, then holds the ball staring at the big screen.

You could see all game that he was way too emotionally invested, pointing the finger at his teammates everytime a goal was conceded or a mistake was made. Trac tried to tell him to calm down but Lever continued carrying on and ultimately it cost them any chance to seize victory.
