Bombers surely put these GC kids away early youd think. 2nd on the ladder vs a cellar dweller

10 points ahead on the ladder but a lower %

tells you all you need to know.

We've always struggled against Essendon for some reason and I'm not overly confident that's going to change this time around. Our undefeated record at home this year has me a little optimistic, but I think the flu running through the Essendon players at the moment may end up being the bigger factor. Suns by 10 (I hope).

bottom half of the ladder + never made finals = cellar dweller.
You don't know the definition of the term if you think that's what it means. For the record, Carlton has collected the same amount of wooden spoons as the Suns since entering the league in 2011.

A seller dweller that's only a game out of the 8?
The idea behind the post was to attack both clubs. Essentially saying the Suns are bad while also pointing out that Essendon should be embarassed if they lose this one. The truth is the Suns were inside the top 8 less than a week ago and that Essendon have very legitimate reasons to lose this game like the flu that's gone through the club and Suns' undefeated record at home this season.

Just a failed attempt to troll from a Carlton fan at the end of the day.

Will be interesting to see if GC pass this massive test on Sunday. A win against 2nd on the ladder more than likely sees them into the 8 with a generous run home.

History says they will fall in a heap but records are made to be broken.

I like the team, but we are so bloody young and inexperienced. Not other team comes even close this round.
It will be great effort if we win.

Age
Suns 24y 0mth
Essendon 26y 6mth

Games
Suns 75
Essendon 116

Players < 50 games
Suns 10
Essendon 4

Goldy, Heppell and Shiel (all on their last year and one which isn't playing) bump these numbers up by a lot.

When you take them out our average age and games played (even when counting Stringer, Laverde, Hind and Kelly and disregarding our 2023 draftees bar Caddy) becomes 22.3 and 70.2.

You do some strange calculations :)

Shiel does not play. I replaced Goldstein with Bryan and let's say Heppel with Davey A.

Average age 25y 3mth
Average games 92

Just look at players with < 50 games
Suns 9 (was 10 before Johnston out), Essendon 4

Players 20y and less
Suns 5 (was 6) Essendon 2

Enjoy the game.
