How on earth aren't Gold Coast favourites. Playing at home better than Geelong in their prime
Started the week paying close to $2.50 and now we're into $2.10. Wouldn't surprise me if we get close to $2 flat tomorrow. Obviously there's a decent amount of punters putting money on the Suns, but I think Brisbane will still go in as favourites with the bookies. The first ever sold out QClash so it should be interesting to see how both teams react to the crowd.

From a Gold Coast perspective, we've been here before. Essendon went into our round 13 fixture against us at Carrara sitting second on the ladder on a seven game unbeaten run. They were beaten. Collingwood went into the round 17 fixture against us at Carrara sitting fourth on the ladder and had only lost one of their last eight games going into the match. They were beaten.

Now Brisbane are going into this round 21 fixture against us at Carrara sitting third on the ladder and they've won their last seven games going into this match. Will history repeat itself and the Suns maintain an unbeaten record at home or will the Lions break the streak? We'll know in less than 24hrs.

The Suns simply must win this for their own soul.

I thought they’d never have us served up to them on a platter more than they did earlier in the year where we had two ACLs, a concussion and no bench for most of the game.

They blew that one. But surely they can’t blow this one at home when we have literally zero key defenders.

They simply can’t and won’t lose this. Otherwise it’s a genuine existential moment for that club.

Zorko with peak cringe there. It's a regulation spoil, this isn't the NFL.
It's just what players do. They pump each other up over stuff like that. That wasn't a regulation spoil anyways. He came off his man from 30m+ away to spoil the oppos best full forward who got out the back on a mismatched opponent with 2mins to go in the half. In the context of the game it was massive.
