Freo would not want to start slowly coming off the bye or they’ll quickly find themselves 4 or 5 goals down against the bounce-back Bulldogs.

Reckon it might actually play out that way though. Doggies by a few goals after setting up a lead early.

We have historically struggled post bye and Dogs will be looking to make a statement after the Brissy game. Also before that game, dogs had one of the better percentages in the league.

I reckon this will be tight and competitive. We haven’t played too many poor games this year - just the derby and the Sydney game. The derby was hopefully just an outlier and the Sydney game was played with amazing spirit, however the occasion got the better of us and Sydney pounced and punished us for all of our errors. Players were clearly grieving and struggling but wanted to compete regardless.

Would look at Libba having a tagging role on Serong or Brayshaw with Richards to come back in but Bevo never applies a tag unfortunately.

Was a pretty even game here in Perth a few weeks back albeit for the final 5 minutes when the Dockers kicked away late.

Very important to even the ledger at 7-7 heading in to the bye with Naughton and Darcy to return afterwards. I reckon the Bulldogs will be up for it and win by 2-3 goals.
