LOL at all the classy Saints supporters trying to troll their Carlton counterparts with the Freo themesong as they were heading out of the ground.

How do you feel about your little win now, where you achieved absolutely nothing other than handing pick #5 to Melbourne?

Thanks, by the way :thumbsu:
Apparently their win is great for their CULCHA.

💩

I learnt in my early days on BigFooty that many Saints fans define success as owning Carlton - regardless of where they finish on the ladder.

This is apparently due to the mental scars the Blues inflicted on them back in the day.

So yesterday's win was like winning a Grand Final for them, with knocking the Blues out of the finals the icing on the cake for some. The latter was obviously premature, so that's knocked the euphoria level down a bit.

But congrats on the win Saints, who needs to make the finals when you knock the Blues off? :)

You’ll be out first week and we’ll have a better pick than you
Awesome flex dude.
Assuming the talk about an 8-0 free kick count in the 4th is correct (I haven't checked), that means you needed a 17-7 free kick count in the first 3 quarters to be a grand total of 9pts up against half a VFL side. Seems you need the pick.
Even if we're out week 1, another game of finals experience is important for this team.

Could have had picks #5 & #6 if you get 1st round compo for Battle, now you get #7 & #8.

golf clap

Melbourne will revert back to type and draft some big bloke no one else wants.

Gold Coast will get some young Queensland local.

If either team does draft someone worthwhile they'll be homesick after the statutory 3 years.

All good.

Some would have you believe it was an assault on his life. Probably some drunken buffoon who will rightfully be banned for a long long time when they find them.
Back to the crowd, and do you happen to remember where Philip Hughes got struck? The bottle wasn't empty it could have been completely different had it hit him elsewhere. Don't attempt to trivialise it!

Sorry mate but unless Aroldis Chapman was launching that thing at him he was in 0 danger. As someone who's played baseball at a fairly high level and can throw in the mid 140s I'm fully aware of the risks of thrown projectiles. A cut or a bruise yes, maybe even a concussion, but there's a monumental difference between what happened to Phil Hughes and the peanut in the crowd throwing a flimsy plastic water bottle at an ump.
