So if we play good footy then we win, and if we play bad footy then we lose.

I like this approach.
Yeah it's not rocket science.

But if you looked at the original post I replied to, they said it "would be a miracle if Carlton win". If St Kilda bring their best footy then sure, otherwise it's not exactly the world's biggest challenge.

Which of the Jeckyl and Hyde Blues teams will turn up, particularly if it turns in to a struggle? A smashing run and gun win last week against a weak side. What about the week before with the haunting pictures of the 15 coaches in the control centre and Voss, and no-one having a clue? Ah, I forgot the injuries!

If GWS roll the Doggies I'll be on the Blues (and Freo) train . Not 1000% sure they will win but if they do and face the Hawks I think they will win. Learnings!

If the ol’ 66’ers can’t beat The Blues reserves team tomorrow - it’ll show the last 58 years building up to this moment is all for nought.

That will be sad!

Carlton will only be making up the numbers in finals if they win tomorrow. Saints have more to lose. Fremantle get one over Ross. They jump two positions on the ladder missing out of pick 5 and 6. And they’ll miss out on the bottom six double ups in the 2025 season potentially playing north west coast and Richmond twice.

Saints will have a field day. We will know how serious Carlton are after the first 5mins. If they have 5 goals, game on. Anything else, bring on Mad Monday; cue in the rack.

Hawthorn’s spanking of North if Freo win has ensured Carlton will miss the 8. Even if the Blues can somehow find a way to win against the Saints, their current predicament makes it hard to see them venture deep into the theatre of September action.

Hoping Carlton can someone keep their end up and be competitive but Saints should be too good.
Saints by 10 goals.

This game is HUGE for the Carlton Football Club. It will answer a lot of questions about them.

  • Are they a new group finally capable of overcoming adversity? Do they have the internal fortitude to get this done? Or do they wilt under the pressure and wet the bed again?
  • Can they overcome their other bogey team in the mighty Saints?
  • Can they put to bed their well earned reputation for choking when it really matters?
  • Can Sam Walsh hit the fat side of a barn when kicking inside 50?
  • Is the tactical genius of Vossy's kick it to Curnow game plan going to be too much for Ross Lyon in the absence of Curnow? It's a real curve ball.
Or ......

will it be 2022 grim reaper game all over again?

🤔

  • How many free kicks will Curnow need to get to have an impact in a big game?

Have you looked at the team we're running out with today? Curnows not even playing campaigner.

Put Brodie Kemp down for 7 goals by quarter time on Cal Wilkie and Josh Battle.

The odds look about right if both teams replicated last week's form. St Kilda very marginal favourites. But they may just phone it in like they did against Brisbane, so who knows.

The only shock from today's game will be if either team wins by 10+ goals.

Roll up roll up! Get your pre-game excuses for failure in now Carlton Posters.
Now is the time to do it. Don't wait till after the game! That just gets embarrassing.

Sorry witg but the reality is NO excuses will be accepted. This is the Saints you are playing!!! Time to show us all who you really are Carlton.
