Very interested to see whether he's named as sub. Ease him into the season after injury layoff.

Not sure there is an easier way to enter a season than to line up against a Nathan Van Berlo-Matthew Nicks coached midfield. Play him from minute one and sub him out once you are up by 5 goals AKA an insurmountable lead.

Yes, that's also a possibility. Perhaps more likely given it's his 100th game and it'd be very stiff to start him as the sub in a milestone game.

Bit strange to sub a player out at the 12 minute mark of the first quarter

As badly as the Crows are going, I’m not sure this will be a huge blowout. The Blues aren’t the sort of side to exploit the slow plodding Crows midfield because they have a slow plodding midfield of their own.

Might have egg on my face later but I reckon this will be closer than people think.
