This is why we won’t be a legitimate top 4 team in the next 3 years . Rubbish midfield.

Well at least we know Battle has definitely signed on.....playing his worst game in a long time haha

Rayner, McInerney and Daniher only ever show up against us, it's uncanny.

Eh; they’re a bloody good football team. We have a long way to go as a midfield group before we can challenge these sorts of sides.

Happy with McLennan’s game so far.

This just shows the difference when a team puts pressure on you versus whatever Essendon did. It forces you to make unforced errors and be indecisive.
We need to back ourselves in and not worry about what Brisbane are doing. We need to be more proactive at stoppages and not reactive because all we'll be doing is chasing them as they take the ball away.

Q2
Still being in touch as it takes a bit for sides to really launch or combat, it took 2 kicks and the Lions pretty much took our pants, smacked our bott botts and showed that there's a reason they're top 2 and we are where we are. Nothing really changed in clearance, the only thing that did change was they upped their I50 count and our defense started slowing down on transition to be caught out quite a few times.

So half times comes at essentially 10 goals v 1 and 1/2.

Here's to the remaining half the match where we hit our stride of recognising that a game is played and we might have a stake in it.

The difference is that they have one of the best midfields in the comp. We have one of the worst. Everything else stems from that.

Our back six are getting absolutely smashed and it doesn’t help when we don’t use the ball under pressure.

It’s not throw the baby out with the bath water type stuff, but we can’t think about flags until we invest heavily in our midfield. We know that, the club knows that.

This game is going to be a brutal watch, but we can’t let this get out of hand in the second half.

Also, please understand we are likely playing the team that will win the flag.
