Hi everyone - am I doing something wrong, or is there a massive flaw with the targeting system (when kicking)?

No matter what scenario I'm in (in play, after a mark or free, kickout), when I lock onto a guy using the R1 targeting system, and it is definitely a lock, as soon as I actually kick the ball, their target circle goes orange and the kick always goes at minimum 90 degrees to where the guy is?

I can kick fine manually, but too often my target doesn't know the ball is for him, even when the ball is mid air, and it also means you don't get leads to break a 1v1 (still waaaay too many 1v1s no matter what tactics I use as a player).

They do seem to lead when "locked on" to," but every kick misses, and not by just a bit.
I had one just now where I was at HBF, locked on to a loose teammate on the wing, and ended up weirdly snapping it 130 degrees into the centre corridor straight to an opposition 40 out.

So the set shot timer also determines the ball animation as well ? I thought this was timed ok.... but obviously wasn't a good drop punt (going by the ball's aerodynamics/physics etc etc). I know in other instances of bad timing, instead of it being a drop punt, it turns into more of a flat punt that doesn't spin at all (not to be confused with the torpedo punt animation).




Another thing I'm seeing more of (which has been mentioned over the last few weeks) the live in game animations play out one way differ to what takes place on the instant replay on occasion. One example (that actually wasn't captured grr), I'd kick the ball into the goal and it looked like it was spraying high and left on an angle. But the replay showed the ball sailing high up into the air, but just straight - not veering left as it did when live.

There have been other things like seeing the ball go up, but at the peak height.... the ball "drops" and descends on a different line/path way. It looks super odd (very scripted I guess ?). Kind of like another teleporting element.

Oh and I didn't realise I had already reached 100+ hours of game time, oooooooops better move on to something else :p

While I know there haven't been any new patches since the last one, but I've noticed that the loading times between menus (especially the loading transition before the teams run into the ground) have gotten a lot shorter.

Time flies when you're having fun...

These are the main two issues that need to be fixed. The AI always kicks the ball while tackled 90% of the time it's
frustrating cause my players seem to be scared of the ball and always run away from the contest.

Adams and Quaynor running away from the contest for absolutely no reason. It's unplayable at this point.
 
Wonder if there'll be legends commentators for legends players coming in..

I am trying to make some simple custom logos in photoshop and upload them in game. I exported it as SVG but it wont let me upload it im assuming because it is too big. Is there a way to check how many nodes there are/an easy way decrease the number of nodes without having to start again??
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have no clue what im doing :)

But unlike some other bloke at least you’re trying and asking as opposed to effectively demanding one thing after another!

Played another game and wanted to smash my controller. Just so many ball ups when I tackle (as opposed to their countless HTBs), and that's when I can tackle.
Just far too often I either can't run at the guy with the ball, or if I do, there's no tackle despite me trying to.

The force-fields are driving me crazy, and if anything, getting worse.

And the stuck in the mud feeling is at an all time high - im just so bogged down when I do get the ball. Handballing is pointless as it usually misses, and when it doesn't, the guy gets tackled instantly anyway.
Frustratingly, I either don't use sprint as I get pinged HTB 100% of teleporting tackled, but instead I just get mown down regardless of what I do.
And insanely, if I try and pre-empt getting the ball, I annoyingly just soccer it off the ground straight to them

And why does it feel (actually, it DOES) like every single ground ball magnets to the AI opposition. every spoil, every loose ball and every grubbed disposal when I get tackled (only me - they hit targets every time)?

This game is driving me crazy, with so much needing to be not just improved but fixed before more niche and unneccesary features are added and tweaked (when compared to this core gameplay which is just broken)

Please BA, fix these increcibly annoying and imo game breaking issues!

Edit: thought I'd include one moment where the controller got launched. Was Gawn, hit kick straight away, did the full motion, then ball teleported back to his hands as he got tackled? HTB, untouchable goal.

Which mode are you playing in?
Shouldn’t matter but at the moment it seems to.
Play now and season are playing far better than management and online.

The lock on doesn’t guarantee to kick to them… it locks the circle around them telling you
Green - You’re pointing in the right direction
Orange - You’re not currently aiming at this target

When you power up the kick, you need to get the power about right. Tap - short, little hold - medium, long hold - long.
Again, no guarantee you will hit that target, but then the circle is
Green - if you’ve chosen the right level to hold
Orange - if you’ve gone too little or too long.

So the lock is more a lock for feedback, rather than to lock your actual disposal.

This is where we need some of the Big Ant Devs doing a showcase video and actually explaining some of the more complex controls. I still want to see someone from their staff using the bounce handball effectively and showing us all how to execute it properly.
