AFL 2nd Semi Final - West Coast vs Carlton - Gameday Thread

I never understood why people come on opposition forums to "congratulate" the supporters. What are you congratulating them on, their cheering ability? Mind numbing

I would'nt even dignify this post with a response, krueze_missile is a well known flog.

Yep 2:20 EST.

Thanks Tassieboy. Forgot we need another 10 minutes for the national anthem, umpires to put their TV faces on etc. :D

Matt Priddis last 9 games
Fremantle: 10 tackles
Western Bulldogs: 14 tackles
Richmond: 11 tackles
Melbourne: 11 tackles
Essendon: 8 tackles
Brisbane: 6 tackles
Adelaide: 13 tackles
Collingwood: 13 tackles
Carlton: 9 tackles

That's 95 tackles in 9 games. That is incredible.

And he's not even WCE leading tackler

2011 AFL leading tackles:

1. Scott Selwood (WCE) 196 (8.2 Avg)
2. Matt Priddis (WCE) 188 (7.8 Avg)
3. James Kelly (GEEL) 167 (7.6 Avg)

That game was too hard, I remember how tiring finals are now :p

Daniel Kerr and Jack Darling in the last quarter were immense as anything, but I couldn't be prouder of the whole team.

And for the record, there was no way in the world there was a freekick to Walker at the end there, seems like Ratten is clutching at straws.

Amazing win. Our incredible season continues, just so proud of the boys to battle it how they did. Kerr was brilliant, when on best mid in the game.

Disappointing that the blues fans are being sore losers on their board, apparently would of beat us by at least 8 goals if it wasn't for the umpires and we didn't deserve the win

They were given a 4 goal lead, what more do they want from the umpires?

Granted it did swing in our favour after quarter time, but my god, umpiring was terrible and inconsistent for both teams.

And the media, look on the afl.com.au webpage.

Every team, yes Eagles included, has supporters that want to blame someone else. The Blues supporters coming on this board have been fantastic, to date. :):thumbsu:

Yes, and as usual it's all about the Vic team - how brave they were, Walker's lack of a free kick that wasn't even there ... etc ... etc, but who cares about the biased media over East as we are into another final. Just a fantastic effort all round from our guys.

Yes, they have been good on our board. They are terrible over here in Melbourne, genuinely thinking they would of smashed us even though it was poor umpiring in the first half both ways.

Guess they want to be gifted the match.

Ah well, we won. Bring on the prelim! :)

This. :thumbsu: And for the first time I can remember I turned off 720 yesterday when McClure (who I normally really like) and Judge were banging on pre-game about how Carlton only aim high, ie higher than the Semi-Final last night, and no one else would understand how really high Carlton aim in their inner sanctum.......except the last 10 years of course (actually what McClure said). I thought I had the Ch10 team on radio. :p

Such a great game. Bit hoarse today, watching the highlights...

Anyone else find it unusual as to why Masten tapped the ball back over the goal line on Kennedy's goal attempt? Sure it was awarded a goal, but I can't figure out what was going through his mind

"We are Carlton" remember, they can do no wrong and if they lose its always someone elses fault.

Yes, some good Blues supporters have come on here and showed some class with posts but there are a alot who are one eyed and arrogant. Some of these can be found in Bay 13 right now getting smashed because of the idiotic things they have posted previously and after the game.

"AFL Should ban taggers" is an absolute ripper of a thread from the Kreuz-Missile.:D:thumbsu:

Thought it was touched?..

He obviously thought it was touched. I certainly didn't know if the Carlton player got a finger nail to it or not. Was a goal regardless, if he kept it in it was his goal but it went over so it was JK's.

Fair enough. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt but to me it didn't even look close to being touched. Might have to watch it again.

Could well be a bit of the anti-Masten in me creeping into my observation too.
