Darling, Allen, Waterman, Jack Williams plus Dixon as a ruck/fwd.
pretty well setup there for now. Also options for Lemmey in the ND.

I'd be surprised if they pass on Culley tbh.
Darling is almost 30, Waterman is a 3rd tall at best, whilst Dixon, Williams are speculative (SSP and pick 50-odd respectively).

Allen is the one bankable KPF they have long term. They may go with Culley but I don't think it will be because their KPF stocks are loaded

yeah. I think they're ok for now though. Darling looks like he could do a Hawkins and play another 3-4.
their midfield is looking more pressing.

Thoughts on Carmichael? Only 22 and rated top 5 for the MSD.

We were wondering on our board who would Essendon take if Culley was gone.
Is a chance for us.

They need some KPF talent if that’s what they have. I don’t think they pass in Culley tho

We are all praying for Culley. The great white hope.

I wouldnt be surprised if we went Carmichael as at 22 he has proven form against men.

And I wouldnt be unhappy with D'Ambrozio.

This is becoming my thought process right now.

Culley as the high upside 19 year old, 22 year old Carmichael with form against men whilst D'Ambrosia could be the small defender we want. I doubt we go D'Ambrosia but who knows..

I would love Derksen but doubt we go that way, Menzie if we decide on a second selection would be nice too

We've done quite well?

Snelling and Durham solid best 22
I know but some are seeing it as some sort of silver bullet . We should get another solid best 22 but lets be real here. Solid best 22 is good but it is not top end . Will be great to get another good B grade role player but the way some of the talk has been about taking 2 or 3 picks is a bit over the top.

You wouldn't take a potential role player and then 2 guys just for the sake of improving the VFL team for half a season if nothing else?

I love the name Wade Derwent

If they are only on 6 month contracts yes but I think you will find a lot more will be asking for 18 months. The better ones anyway.

Really? 18 months and zilch vs 6 months and maybe something more?

I reckon that's not seeing the system for what it is. Get onto the list.

Don't run the risk of being the latest second tier gun no one drafts.

Newcombe has been a revelation, and I know he is a SSP but Martin has been a steal.

The trend seems to be though that the players that 'make it' have had 2+ years of development at state level and not many 19yos make it.

I was really keen on Culley, but if he is gone I don't really mind who we pick. We seems to find decent role players ok with free hit rookie selections.
