GARY - What's sort of, what are your expectations for tonight and what sort of expectations has/ did the west coast eagles when you say down and had a chat with them recently.

Jai- ummm they didn't really give me a bar honestly so I'm not expecting to go to West Coast so, but if it does happen I'll be bloody stoked.

Yeah don't read too much into it, Twomey and most of the people who have spoken with Eagles seem to think he's going 1.

Yes:

You can watch it live tonight (if you feel like sticking pins in your eyes) here:

Seems a good choice for what's really a free swing - get Cox primed for a big pre-season and hopefully a move to the backline

I cancelled Jiu jitsu to watch this. I’m a nerd 🤣
I'll be watching it... have threads to monitor and spreadsheets to update and stuff. Drafts and the last day of trade period are the ones I always need to keep up with that if I wasn't doing, I'd probably go watch a movie or something. It's a good thing I made the spreadsheets years ago when I had more time, can just duplicate and edit it a bit. I wouldn't have the time to build from scratch these days.

I listened to it live on the way to work and this quote is taken out of context. The discussion was around whether he was told with certainty that he was going to West Coast. (Tim/Gary asked something about if they had told him they were taking him)... In the quote, the emphasis was on 'expecting' meaning he hadn't been given absolute assurances OR was asked to remain a bit tight-lipped about it. My gut feel from listening to it, was that he was going to West Coast.

edit: or what Mercurial89 said above.

AFL clubs still doing the amateur hour thing. Every man and his dog should know who is 1-3.

Is there any reason you'd keep pick 1 secret.
1 will be Culley to West Coast. 2 will probably be Kallan Dawson to North.

We want Culley (tall mid) but if he goes at 1 we'll be looking at the remaining options.

That leaves us with D'Ambrosio (half-back who sustained a four week-shoulder injury playing for Richmond a week ago) and Carmichael (tall mid from SA) as the probables.

Twomey also links us to Hall-Kahan and Faulkhead, both half-forwards from the look of it. Faulkhead good below his knees. Nice odds on Kantilla in there somewhere too, maybe our second pick, 190cm forward and extremely quick.

Seems like tall mid and tall half-forward are on the agenda anyway. D'Ambrosia seems to be the odd one out as a rebounding half-back.
