Think they were being thought as 20-50 range players. Ben might’ve pushed himself a bit higher after his game on Saturday though
Be interesting to see how they go next year
they had a good game on the weekend in the U17 game and Herald Scum are running with them being top 10's. Lets wheel it back a bit

Camporeale boys top 10 picks for the Baggers?

I don’t have them in that frame, both need work on their kicking as they are both more outside than inside

If we take Caddy in the first round, I'd like to see us take a look at the GWV boys Stevens & Freijah later in the draft if they're available at our second pick to try and address our lack of taller midfielders that can mark well overhead.

I can't see Caddy getting past Melbourne.... if we want him need to go and get that GC pick.
Melbourne may well go for a KPD first

They have drafted KPFs with their last 2 first rounders, both have developed well in the last 2 years

Twomey has Caddy in the top 8 though and we have pick 9 (Mckay 3)

Geelong obviously rated the Caddy family/background and could do with anything really. Might be 1 year in the VFL and 1 last year from Tomahawk then a take over from Caddy

ive only read profiles and watched some vids on afl.com, but i like this haul.

Just goes to show how balanced we are

Our entire supporter base here have suggested just about every facet of the game as a need

On a side note id be offering some combination of

Stringer, Shiel and some combination of Z.Reid, N.Cox, Perkins, Tsatas, Pick 8 F1 for C.Oliver

As much as oliver is an absolute gun. I think he takes us further back than closer to building a premiership list imo
Melbourne can ask for absolutely anything otherwise the deal doesn’t go through. And I’d expect that the starting price would be 2 1st round picks and someone like Perkins/ hobbs and maybe another player

alternatively could it be the other way where they are so desperate to get a cancer out of the club they would take a second rounder

Yeh I don’t think that’s the case at all. It’ll be a steep price. I’d be surprised if it happened. Tom Morris does have a lot of Melbourne sources though.
I agree they'd ask for a kings ransom but if they are so desperate to move him on they may as well accept well under. See Grundy, see Treloar etc.

I don’t think they’re the same circumstance though, those players left because of salary cap issues. And oliver is in a totally different stratosphere compared to those two. I think it’ll be they’re happy to test the waters and if they get offered something really nice then they’re happy to do it. If not they’ll keep him. I don’t think they’re running oliver out of the club no matter what.

Sorta sounds like a Stringer type scenario (not saying Stringer in same class) where he is seen as toxic to the playing group and coaches, etc.

Agree, he ain't going for chips but there would be plenty of interest.

Might be a case of win/win where he needs a change as well.

Difference is
Oliver is a 3x all aus
2x aflca winner
4x bnf winner

Buys you a lot more leeway from the club if they can’t get a deal done. I doubt it’s toxic with the playing group thing either

He probably brings it forward but reduces the longevitiy of it

I agree it would cost alot, but hes exactly what we need

Id atleast expect the offer to need to be Shiel, Stringer and then 2 of Tsatas, Z.Reid, N.Cox, Perkins, Pick 8, F1

The other thing to consider is the 2.3 mill Oliver, Gresham and Mckay take up. It would mean a battle to keep everyone and then bringing in someone else near on impossible for a while

If that’s the case I’m good. Would rather keep those players and continue to build depth.

Im different, would rather be at the pointy end

Id do Stringer, Shiel, Tsatas/Cox/Reid and Pick 8 (Which i think they will see highly valuable)

As 6+8+14 = H.Reid

I’d rather be at the pointy end. Just don’t think giving all that up for Clarry gets us there.

I think we’re 80% the way there and we should go all in next summer. Be patient 12 more months, build depth then use that real depth to top up where needed.
