You need Cox. With a ruck line up like that you're going to have to waste two trades to get him later anyway. You say you don't want to pay that much for him yet. It's going to be worse paying that much for him later...

I'm now convinced that the only reason you wouldn't have Cox from the start is if you have had a vision that he will injure himself somehow.. and you believe in that sort of thing.

Thinking of picking up Scott Thompson as my #1 midfielder...

Does anyone think that Goodwin's likely increased time spent in the forward line may lead to Scott attracting the number one tag and hence impact his scores?

For Adelaide fans; how does Thompson generally cope with tags when he does face them?

Have seen this question a few times with no response so this is IMO only.

Scott Thompson is a GUN. I imagine that he will cop the number 1 tag and i think he's good enough for it not too worry him.

I've been jigging my team a bit to try and fit him in cause i reckon he'll be in the top 5 DT scorers this year for sure.

He'll get more attention especially if Goodwins forward, but i would be giving him the number 1 tag regardless, wont worry him though!!!

it is a magnificant job he does, on a very minimal budget, so we shouldnt expect it to be like a google, or a premierleague site

Ricky Dyson could be an absolute bargain midfielder, we've all heard he's had a massive pre season and that Knights is a big fan of his.

He's notched up over 100 tonight with an Essendon midfield not missing much.

goodes has put his best preseason for years.
ball is too injury prone,
dal santo cant handle the tag

Really liked Shermans game today but im not sure if he will be allowed to play the role he played (floating across half back) come season proper. Harding also played a similar role to Sherman but there is talk he will be struggling to get a game.

Am i better off starting a first year player in the backline such as Pfeiffer and spending a tiny bit extra on emergencies who will rake in the cash for later upgrades or is it wise to get emergencies who might not earn as much but make sure i have a full list of guys who have played?
