fair to say if maroochy didn't have 20 plus blokes heading to zillmere to cheer on nambour on saturday, they would all be in noosa cheering them on to beat palmy.
Guess there will be a first for everything! If granny played on goldy have been told it will be at surfers or cooly as the phc clubs didnt want to prop up neafl clubs when the funds generated would be dearly wanted at our own clubs.

Trompf is a key kwhit.no doubt about that.Such a competitor and a crowd favourite also.Always rises to the occasion but Round and L`lanson more than proven also at this level.I think tim storrer will provide the back up for Trompfy and I`d like to see Angel Duke or even a Riley Buntain have a crack in their also at some time.Be very interesting at selection tomorrow night.Noosa have plenty of smalls so I`d say one or two of them will exit for trompf and Buntain. As switching play said, will be a cracker in any conditions. Both teams have gun onballers,Brewster a key for noosa up forward and drake a key at either end.I did have concerns about Noosas` defence early on in the season but they have been outstanding.Lets hope the weather comes good and i`m sure it will be one to remember.Massive stakes with a GF on either coast plenty to play for.My tip;Noosa by 5 goals.Am heading to Weyba rd sat. Fever pitch. Big congrats to mathews, brewster and Isles and Noosa afc in general. Not being nit picking but Horn, Bloom, Zieldler, Pearson in 2s all won respective medals last year. If Palmy win Granny to be played at Surfers! And maroochy if Noosa get up. Agree with switching play all those match ups are going to be massive, add the hards, hewatt and Isles Mcintick Mills to the midfield going head to head. Trompf is a proven competitor, will need help, not sure who back up is, Noosaboy any clus. And like round 1 will be wet muddy and hard as f$@k. Former collingwood listed player Damien Lyon to pick up Brewster held him to 1 maybe 2 goals when they met at Palmy, and I would bet to see an Ianson and round drop in hole. No idea who will pick up drake? Cant wait, this is what footy is about and the best news is whatever the result on sat, if they are good enough to meet again in a fortnight totally different result, guaranteed. Good luck to Hawks v Magpies, will be interesting to see if Hawks can prevail with a 10 goal win again, or if Maggies will turn last weekend around and run Hawks of feet.
Yeah be great to see nambour go 4 on the trot smy.Amazing effort regardless of standard. You can only beat whats there in front of you.Would love to see them back in our comp` in the future. We always had great rivalry with them back in the `90s.Lets hope both Nambour and Noosa win - Maroochy can take credit for both in a small way
Good point kwhit.Great opportunity for PHC clubs who are not involved in the last day and in this case finals to cash in and earn some much needed revenue. Why give it to a State league club? I reckon surfers would be a terrific venue for a GF and know that the Noosa faithfull would certainly make the effort to attend,as they did in 2006 at Carrara.Always something exciting about the Goldy regardless of what age you are.fair to say if maroochy didn't have 20 plus blokes heading to zillmere to cheer on nambour on saturday, they would all be in noosa cheering them on to beat palmy.

Is DJ Todd heading down to Zillmere?fair to say if maroochy didn't have 20 plus blokes heading to zillmere to cheer on nambour on saturday, they would all be in noosa cheering them on to beat palmy.
Equal with cubby i think speedy.Good footballer dobson. Was huge against noosa in the 2006 GF.I heard he also won the reserves league medal in the State league last year.Is the difference between the two comps that great?wasnt Dobson the runner up?

Agree the weather robbed everone of a clean fast hard game but given the conditions it was still a pretty good standard. If palmy get over sandgate this week they would want to pray for good weather as I think noosa s game plan in the wet is much better than palmy's. Anyway like they say, one week at a time, need to get over the hawks then worry about the following week. Drake will be ok, came back to the ground afterwards which was positive. Not sure what the league policy on concusion is? if he is available this week. Fingers crossed. Gus Munro has been terrific all year, love him to stay but should really look at state league, as he is more than capable.
Terrific contest at Weyba rd on Saturday.Noosa able to answer any challenge thrown at them with brewster up forward the absolute difference.Matthews, isles and brew all in and under as usual but so were the hards boys,Munroe and horn.Just didn`t have that big key forward.Conditions certainly suited the tigers as Palmy like to chip it around and find targets which was hard to do in such heavy going.Skipper bovalino was outstanding mopping up across half back and i thought noosas` small forwards in Smith and Mills were busy.I`d expect palmy to knock over Sandgate to reach what should be a classic GF.The week off this week invaluable for the tigers after such a hard slog.
