Paul Grentell resigns as Western Magpies coach.

Grentell stated in his letter of resignation, "This is not a decision I have made lightly but due to what I believe is a lack of club support and continued questioning of my decisions I feel the decision is just."

Not winning for two years might do that to you.
disappointing, will be interesting to see who steps up and takes over the job.

Who would want the magpies coaching position?

Can anyone confirm Tom Tarrant from vultures has been barred from Mt Gravatt for life after incident in club weeks ago and is seeking a release to Southport?

Tips for this week.

Redlands to beat Aspley
Southport to beat Lions
Broadbeach to beat Magpies
NT to beat Mt Gravatt
Morningside to beat Labrador

This weeks tips:

Pies v Cats: the loss of the Coach oftens causes a struggling side to lift. Unfortunately the Pies aren't even in the building so their no chance of a lift. :D. The Cats

Tigers v Panthers: Who would have thought the Panthers would have so many problems in 2010 after a stellar 2009. Injuries and poor form have hurt, but they need to start winning. The Tigers won't want to lose this one at home, but no Knobel and Spider will give the Panthers the sniff they need in a surprise at Tigerpark.

Sharks v Cubs: Easy the Sharks by a significant amount.

Bombers v Hornets: Can't see Matty coming up with enough 'creative' moves to allow this one to slip - Bombers

Thunder v Vultures: Logically the Thunder would be expected to win (if they had half their team available. The Vultures appear to be 'all over the shop' at the moment, but then again they weren't too good in the first half of 2009. In a close one I am thinking the Vultures (or maybe the Thunder). Do I get double points if I go for a draw?

Bonus 5 points for a draw. What do you mean Panthers need to start winning? What about the teams under them.Just remember this time last year panthers had lost 2 games at this stage of the season.Form and injuries are a concern but get back bonney and lawler this week from last weeks demolition.Kinch 2 weeks and price, sam brown after the state game.No susave named for labrador either, favourite son from 07 eags:thumbsu:.
Do you drink with lake or davis sat night at alice springs casino oddball?

Hey Chikka, it looks like I've struck a nerve.

As for who I'll drink with - it will be more likely those who want to drink with me having to form a queue! :D

You didn't hit a nerve, just the funny bone.
Is winning form ok if you give Labrador 44 start and win?Labrador are the real deal after watching them yesterday, especially when susuve, spider, knoble and shattock are all on the field. They were hot for 3 quarters yest.

Ha Ha, how come my activities/whereabouts have become so important to some on this forum.

While I could reserve the right to tell you to mind your own business. :p

The reality is that I took up a position in the members bar so I could watch the AFL game which was on the TV and of particular interest. :D

At the aftermatch I made myself freely available to both teams and as I predicted there was a significant queue of individuals wanting to extract my valued assessment of the relative strengths and weaknesses of the on-field participants. A good night was had by all! :)
