He's a clearance machine. Very intuitive inside type. I think he had 9 clearances on debut in round 1. He has a great releasing hand ball. His knock is that he is not a great kick, doesn't have much of an outside game and can get caught with the pace of the game at times. But after one AFL game I think that is to be expected.
One thing I did notice with him on two occassions was that he stayed on the ground when he got knocked off the ball instead of going back for a second effort. I like players that bounce back up straight away..

Elliott missed some easy goals but he was a great 2nd prong in attack, and he has pace mixed with good overhead ability. He is an exciting player when he is running on to the ball and powering through the forward fifty. If he can improve his kicking and, at times, his decision making, Elliott will be a star. I love the boy. He can also take a hit as he did from Morris, and continue to be an effective player.
Elliott was fantastic. Gave off to Cloke a few times and lead Morris to the ball and out marked him all day.
