Geez they've picked a strange strange line up. Dropping Cornelious is the strangest one for mine, because it locks Merrett into playing forward and TBH I think he's the best match up for Cloke league wide!

Then there's taking a player with two games under his belt in as the number 1 ruckman.... The lions board might be interesting tonight!

I heard Jolly was fit to go but is being rested for the Geelong game
Makes sense, it's a six day break after the Lions game, in fact it's almost a 5 day break by the time the team gets home (Sunday Morning).

Jolly and Thomas both trained strongly, so they could have played, we are just being overcautious it seems.

I really dont think there was anything wrong with fasolo or even Blair last week......i think the club is tryin to rest who they can when they can.

Fas looked pretty sore when he came down from that mark in the last qtr though.

Fasolo was clearly labouring with a leg injury last week.

Blair on the other hand was a rest

You are not wrong, Longer has played 2/3 games and is like a stick.

Happy to see Didak & Blair back but why is Seedsman back?

Cover some of the pace we lose with Johnson being injured

Great to see Didak named, and happy Seedsman hasn't had to wait too long to get another chance.

I'm a bit torn on who I want as the sub. Still irks me that there has to be one.

Good team by the look, bit less nervous about this game seeing the teams.

Think Seedsman will be sub.

Good Blair is back in and very pleased to see Didak back - his polished disposal will be welcomed back bigtime.

Wood gets a chance to show Brisbane what a terrible mistake they made ...
If he can't beat Longer, then he'll no longer be taken seriously you'd think - by anyone.
Longer will be good I'm sure, but at the moment he's just a kid.

Anyone on the Collingwood board who says this is a danger game for you guys, please pass me some of the sweet sweet drugs you are consuming. This is the unloseable game for Collingwood, our skills are disgraceful and we have no gameplan. Ta tar

I really doubt Wood will make the Lions think they where a Mistake to let him go. I even have my doubts he will beat Longer. I am just hoping he can break even with Longer.

If Wood does Fail/Lose against Wood then Collingwood should just give up on him

Put him on min payment and keep him as backup for a few years until witts/ceglar are ready. For instance if we get jamar/walnock, have them as our number 1 and wood to play a few games when their injured and thats it, i think it would be a waste if we got rid of him for nothing... I think his most valuable asset is his best friends with travis cloke, his a 100% certainty to be on our list next season for that very reason (assuming his contract expires? not sure about that)

I think keeping Wood on the List just to Keep Travis is a Terrible Idea. That would be Waiting a Space on the List.

Having another pick in the draft for a kid whos very very unlikely to make it (statistically... dont bring up sinclair) or vastly increase the chance of our most important player (whos also one of the best key positions in the league, and only 25) staying at the club for the rest of his career? Seems like a no brainer, especially seeing wood will provide okay ruck depth for us as a bonus.

That reverse psychology better not work!
