Just a perspective based question for all of those watching the West Coast v. Port game...

How does the way West Coast played this week compare with the way they played against us?
Should we take a lot of heart from this win?

Daniel Kerr was a force of nature.

Selwood may have won us the game last week in retrospect.

The Weagles really toweled Port.

Are the Eagles better than most experts thought ?(in which case we must be pretty good), or are Port a lot worse:confused:

Come to think of it, haven't Port got basically the same list as last year?

....and last year they were dismal.

I couldn't understand all the hype about Port being the "big improvers" this year and now I understand it even less.

This post sums up why I don't punt in the first 4 to 5 weeks of a season.

Actually, if you are a punter(which I'm not), it may be the best time.

There are some nice juicy odds about the place on the "underdogs".

For example, I firmly believed Sydney and WCE were both good things and thought (if I were a punter) that the Saints were good value to knock over the Crows.

Which is why I ended up with 8 in my tipping comp.

The only part of my tipping that went wrong was that I thought by tipping the Blues, I'd put the kiss of death on them....wrong:(

Damn. I got 6. I missed StKilda and Sydney. I was pretty confident in WC after seeing them last week. They were mighty impressive in the first half.

...and in Round 1 Port got the obligatory easy home win against the Bombers who travel interstate as well as a dead brick.

...whist the Eagles were really pretty good against us and were always going to be up for it in their first home game.
