No reason at all. I hope they do, that's how we break even in the midfield. If we break even I think we're a red hot chance.

As good as the dogs have been their talent at either end isn't that much better than ours with the exception of stringer. But bont, Wallace, libba, Hunter, mccrae, Daniel and dahlhaus are all serious footballers that we will find hard to restrict with our second tier onballers imo.

Who are these second tier mids you speak of?

Varcoe, De goey, crisp, Blair, Greenwood since Adams has been spending time down back. Not a disrespect to their talent but the seven dogs I named in my post are all currently better footballers. Daniel is debatable but the other 6 aren't, imo.

I am hoping we turned the corner last week. That first quarter against the Cats was great to watch.

We can't afford to let the Dogs play that free flowing game.

Pressure them from the start and it is game on.

Go Pies

Our best 7 mids vs their best 7 is very even IMO, no reason to dismiss Adams all together. They can't all play in the centre at once and he still gets a run through the middle at times, even when he doesn't he still works like a mid around the ground.

Pendles, Sidey, Treloar, Adams, Crisp, Greenwood and De Goey

Hunter, Bontempelli, Macrae, Dalhaus, Libba, Wallace, and Daniel

Playing them a week too late. Probably their best side for a while with really only Murphy missing.

We will need to be as good as last week to be any sort of chance.

We play well against Geelong and poor against Bulldogs, but being at the G might even it up, I haven't seen them do much there.

We lost last 2 Games but neither was Really Convincing Wins.

Plus we beat them in the NAB Challenge with a Big Comeback

and when we start Well. WE WIN
Pretty much this. In 6 of our games so far there have been no lead changes - whoever gets the early jump doesn't get headed. On top of those 6 there was the Carlton game where the only stage we led was the first couple of minutes.

If we can break even in the midfield I reckon we win. The problem is their midfield has been excellent this season so we need to be right on our game.

We are a chance, the game against Geelong was impressive, not just the quick start but the response to the challenge when they got within 8. I think it will be close after a tough four quarters and a really good contest.

Collingwood but it will be close, looking forward to building on the last two weeks.

Johannesen is still missing as well. Important player for them.

5 ins is a lot to integrate. Not always smooth sailing, as we've seen with some teams bringing in large amounts in the past

Don't want to make it a Shoot Out
I don't think we will win a shootout, we need to win the contested ball and keep the pressure and intensity for the four quarters, this is a big test, Brisbane was not competitive, Geelong was solid and we had a crack but did Geelong play their best football?? If we get over the line here we have turned a corner, and agree a shootout is not in our best interest.

Love us to maintain our recent run of outstanding first quarters, and setting up the win from there. I think the Cats last week were a little complacent, a little bit arrogant, and we drove a truck through that attitude in the first quarter. The Dogs will not be the same.

What is our track record in this late Sunday afternoon time slot (the death zone)? I cant recall being at one of these games where we actually won.
