Club membership.

OK. All I know is that with AFL Memberships if you get caught letting someone else use it, they will take it off you and ban you from being a member.

Didn't use to be like that as a club member, but don't know if that has changed over the last couple of years. However, it would normally say in the back of the membership guide they send you at the start of the season.

Chances are pretty slim of getting caught however, but probably best to know the consequences first.

Hope that helps.

Great footage.

Lappin would should get suspended for that kind of acting these days. That was a shocking call.

I know! The two Coreys, Cories, Cori? Look like those scraggly little kids that sit in the car park at "sev-lev" with their slurpees asking you for a "dart".

This is the whisper mill from the HUN.

The rumour mill has been working overdrive this morning about the health of Geelong skipper Joel Selwood.
He suffered a knock to his knee against GWS last week and was then spotted at a kids clinic with both knees bandaged. But the word coming out of the Cattery is that not only is Selwood right to play, but all five changes made by the Cats will take their place as selected.
Given Chris Scott's penchant for late changes - they averaged at least one a week last year - that is a little bit hard to swallow, but the mail is Tom Hawkins - after missing just one week following minor knee surgery - is right to go and Corey Enright, who missed last week with a foot, has also been cleared to play.
That would be a surprise

young Clarke, that boy had some speed but a shame about his kicking

Jesus! Thornton looks the same as he does today, ages well indeed
Much like young tenace.

Everyone should watch this before tonight! Riccardi's goal after the siren.

you get to see how young and small everyone used to be!

So great to see it again. I really miss Milburn's incredulity at umpiring decisions. In every game he played, he never did once take a back step in giving his viewpoint, even when Premierships were on the line, and always in the same action - the whistle would blow, then he'd walk towards the ump, raising both arms with open fists, arguing, then he'd turn, pointing to where the ump got it wrong. He'd then follow the ump for a couple of steps, huff and puff, then shake his head in disbelief. All the while we'd be on his side, then in a blink-of-an-eye wishing he'd shut the f*** up and get on with the game. Ahh, great days.

yeh Tenace was explosive, can't remember him to well though...I know he was only 24 when he finished up so pretty young and seemed like such a waste of talent but I guess Wojcinski and Varcoe had the speed as well as the disposal efficiency to take his spot in following games

Tenace seemed like a real confidence player. Once he lost it with his kicking and knew everyone was watching his disposal properly, he never was the same.

In saying that, for a player with so much pace and potential, can't remember him taking on the game and trying to break the lines.

Loved how Lappin clearly kicked the goal from the boundary but Scarlett pointed out that it hit the goal post :D, I think he does this every game now

I never really noticed until recently but yeah they've been doing it forever. Obviously such a point of pride with that group keeping the score megalow. I'd love to find out which game made them that way - obviously one of the early floggings we got back in the day.

Anyone else surprised at the odds for tonight? Cats @ $1.42 and the Blues at $3 with TAB. I know the Blues have injuries, but gee they can seriously trouble us tonight. They're the one team that has troubled us with their pace and quick spread over the years and we're only just going at the moment. Crucial game that we MUST win imo.

Carlton's alleged "speed" harks back to when Garlett, Betts and Yarran were carving a few teams up including us one day at The G. Personally I think they are not much faster than anyone else. Also speed can be over-rated. Fast ball movement is what is really required. Line-breakers with genuine breakaway speed are an asset for sure and we have those in Motlop, Wojo, Hunt, etc.
If this line up tonight plays to it's potential...look out! I am a bit concerned that certainly many players are either not in sparkling form or are carrying niggles. They look to me a bit like they are in a mid-season heavy training load. But I am sure CS and the players are well prepared for Carlton to come out breathing fire. Carlton looked the most damaging earlier in the year with elite tackling pressure but I'm not sure they have either the cattle or the innate will to do that tonight.
We have them more than trumped in almost every area except perhaps the ruck where we are 50/50 at best.
Our forwards are too tall, are mid-field is too deep, our wings are too fast and our back line too solid.
I'm not saying we are certainties by a long shot, but if we lose this one I will be very, very worried as it will only be through lack of desire.
SHOULD be Geelong by 40.
