Re: AFL Round 17 - Brisbane vs Geelong

5 - James Podsiadly (Showed strong hands, kicked beautifully and was our only avenue to goal in the first half. 8 goals and clearly BOG).

4 - Joel Corey (The hardest working midfielder on the ground and in the first half was our only true winner of the starting on-ball brigade.
Topped his work off with two key goals).

3 - Tom Hawkins (Had some very frustrating moments but at the end of the day he stood up when needed, took six excellent contested marks (far more than anyone else on the day), won a lot of contested footy, kicked three goals and gave two others away.
Intensity was still lacking at times but it was a huge step forward for Tom.)

2 - Allen Christensen (His quick hands, creativeness and footy smarts really shone through today.
Won plenty of the ball, kicked goals and applied excellent defensive pressure (8 tackles).
Disposal was the difference between 2 votes and 4).

1 - Jimmy Bartel (Was quiet early but worked his way into it and by the end was one of the most influential on the ground.
Won a stack of the footy, a good percentage of that contested, used it as well as anyone and stood up when most needed).

Stokes (25 touches, lots of clearances) and Selwood (not clean, but a stack of contested footy and a game leading 9 clearances) were the next best.

3. Chistensen
2. Bartel
1. Enright

(Would have snuck Hawkins in, but I thought the others were better over the whole four quarters.)
