If LARS is an option the club should consider it I think
The club has never really preferred the option so I wouldn't expect it unless Macaffer felt he needed to come back quickly to save his career, which given he's developed the tagged role so well I don't think he'd need to do.

Agree but it hasn't been that long since the Port game has it?

That was more a case of two inept teams working out who was worse I reckon - it was almost like neither side could figure out how to win it, although we did keep the pressure up and that was probably the difference in the end.

This was more of an old-fashioned backs to the wall effort in a game where everything was going against us and we really haven't shown much fight when circumstances and/or the game is going against us for quite a while now.

Lets not go nuts. It was the Giants who are firmly near the bottom of the ladder. Any win is a good win at this point but we're puttering to the end of the season now.
No doubt, but that win is worth more than competition points. It taught a big swathe of very young players how to grind out a game you have no right to win.
Invaluable experience going forward.
I have no delusions about this years outcome.

Fair point but he's missed a lot of football and this effectively writes him off for next year.

Maybe the LARS stance is part of the review. It's a risk and worked for some. The traditional one failed him

The less educated on the main board (pro Collingwood hatred ) really have no idea about the game, you can argue they have injuries as well... But, there depth made up of first & second rounders far outweighs what we have when we lose our top 10, same goes for GCS.... They really have no clue about this game!

That's why this win was superb.

Not really - anyone's knee would have gone in that particular circumstance I reckon because it was one of those awkward positions which tends to result in bad things happening when you're trying to come to a sudden stop and you're a bit off balance.

Spot on. As opposed to being happy with and accepting an 'honourable loss' whilst it improves your drafting position like some clubs supporters do.

How ironic that the people who think our players have 'given up' are the ones that have actually given up on the team.

There's nothing wrong with expressing disappointment at a perceived (or in a lot of cases) lack of actual effort out on the ground. One thing I can guarantee you is if the boys left everything out on the field week-in, week-out like they did tonight then I reckon pretty much every single person on this message board would be more than happy.

Let's just hope that we've re-discovered something in the way of fighting spirit and hunger that we appeared to have lost for quite a while there. It's not a banner win by any means and we're still cooked for this season obviously, but even the longest journey (back to redemption?) starts with a single step.

There's nothing like a great winning feeling that we're experiencing at the moment. I was so proud of the way the boys played especially in the second half when they knew they could win and have a famous victory especially with the number of injuries we sustained today.

I doubt we'll beat Hawthorn next week but the fact that the side has shown spirit is enough to keep us going. One way or another, I'll be there supporting this side next week!

Just so proud of the side and the way they rallied with the likes of Thomas, Pendles, Sidebottom, Broomhead, Marley and Blair leading the way. Great win and one that I'll fondly remember in terms of the determination and 'never say die' attitude we displayed. It wasn't pretty to watch but it's a great win in the circumstances.

Given how many risks haven't worked in the last couple of years I'd be thinking the club would opt for the conservative route.

Great, gutsy win,so proud of the boys tonight.I think this win was very important for the future development of the team. The young players really showed the way and lifted us over the line.Very impressed with Broomhead,Thomas,Langdon, and Grundy was huge in the last quarter.
