Well its been stated that Bucks does not bother with motivating the players, whereas Mick was more about motivating players. Bucks says that the players should be able to find their own motivation, it's not up to the coach to do so. Maybe that's where the problem lies.

Although I agree with Buckley.

WTF? This cant be true. If so this is total bs. Alot of my mates said the players wouldnt play for Buckley like they did for Malthouse who they hugely respected. An inspirational leader off the ground aswell as on the ground can be the difference between winning and losing.

I think its just a difference in philosophy.

Call it what you want, but inspiring your players to have the self belief, and showing them that you have faith in their ability, can win you a lot in football. Being smug and putting that all back on the players, reeks of a man out of his depth.

Down to 2 on the bench. Ball out, something to do with his cartridge. Reid felt a "pinch" in his quad.

We're still in this, just gotta compose, be clean and fix up our decision making heaps. Cloke and Pendles need to lift, they'll win us the game.

"If you were comparing the two of them, Bucks is more of a teacher coach whereas Mick was very much a motivator," was how one insider described the set-up.

"Bucks figures you bring your own motivation. He says, 'I shouldn't have to motivate you, you should be motivated enough to do this every day' so he's more about teaching and structure."

Disappointed with Goldsack's hands at the moment - too fumbly.

Sinclairs too. Kills you in a game like this where it is so frenetic. We aren't dealing with the pressure well at all. Really disappointing. We need to lift a lot if we are any chance.

We are lacking the fit soldiers at the moment 2 key players down before half time is just about impossible to come back from.

We will unfortunately tire.

Our season will be fine but we need to almost look at having a mini pre season and conditioning to ensure all the players can click together by mid year and beyond.

We will pick up enough points to be thereabouts but we need to start planning now.

Christ everyone on here complains alot. Whats the bet we come out and win the game in this half.

What has happened to Luke Ball? Maybe everyone should stop complaining and work out whats happened to Bally and Reidy so I dont have to read all this dribble.

I'll take that bet!

Thomas, Swan and Pendlebury have really given us nothing. I can't remember the last time we were belted in the middle like this (apart from last round last year). You'd have to say that Daisy is in a massive form slump. He doesn't seem to be able to push hard like he used to. They are all paying very little respect to their opponents and Murphy, Judd and Carazzo are chopping us up. Also, who the hell is on Scotland?? Even though we haven't got it in there that much, the kicking to Cloke and Dawes and the resting ruckman has been horrible.

On a positive note, I have loved Nick Maxwell's return, he has been great as has Marty Clarke. Keefe can definitely keep his head up to.
As much as it pains me to say it, and as much as I lose respect for a lot of our guys because of it, the lack of intensity compared to the last couple of years is stark.

It's better to have these injuries now then later, as we saw last year. If Reid and Ball's injuries turn out to be more than 5 week injuries we might struggle to make the top 4, but doesn't rule us out for the premiership.
