Two out of two wins on the road, big win against the reigning Grand Finallist, a few other competitive losses against top four teams All good so far (except round one, ignore round one).

Now for some head to head top eight competition. Games against opponents like Geelong Melbourne and Fremantle are the "eight point games" we need to win a lot of to make finals. First up Geelong.

Sam Murray will find himself in the VFL shortly.

All players have an off game here and there. The guy has been special in 5 games and we should stick with him and applebury for a few more weeks. The liability down back is dunne......three weeks in a row where he has given away stupid goals.

don't have Fox so didn't see - listened to most of it. Fair bit of histrionics here - we were in front for 90% + of game time - might have been ugly but considering travel, short breaks, players coming back - not a total disaster.

Maybe you should just accept you don't play. Have never played and cannot even begin to understand what a difficult 3 games the extremely young Pies just had. That you are nothing more than a supporter with zero actual influence on the outcome.

We played awesome for a three week spell gone back to round 1 form

we selected a round 1 team and went back to our round 1 game plan. No BRAND there today and suddenly the Cats next week will have us as outsiders.....Sunday again. We hate Sundays

I haven't got Foxtel, thought I'd download the game later confident in victory and decided to use the time instead to give my unit a much needed clean.

Fired up the computer, went to the AFL site and FMD we're only 8pts ahead half way through the last quarter.

Critical that we hung on for the win but boy oh boy some spots in the team must surely have opened up on the back of that performance.

I look forward to watching it.

Missed most of the first half myself.
Lot of players looked weary and below their best.
Some of the leaders really stood up late (Sidey, Treloar, Howe); some younger boys were really productive (Phillips, De Goey); and Cox's marking late was crucial.
Take the 4 points and move on.
Rest up and get stuck into 'Gee-long'

Usual pessimists saying all week "danger game", "wouldn't surprise me if we drop this one", and even predicting a loss, and when it nearly happens but we pull together to win it (with our captain and BOG at the time out of the game) they're disappointed, disgusted, outraged, written us off. Could've won by 10 goals and they'd be all "yeah but it was only Brisbane". I seriously think some people would prefer us to lose and be shit as it fits their agenda, rather than have their team win.
