Agree....I wonder what the chances of seeing Varcoe/Stokes in defence tonight....we will need some pace there.

Gamble is a better forward anyway.

Its normal for an emergency not to play the two's, however probably not both gamble and duncan, so i suppose someobdy will be a late withdrawl.

Gamble and Half Back - not really sure about this new switch; Just not strong enough in the 1:1's. Is actually a very good outside midfielder in my opinion.

Best defense is always attack! Not necessary to send Varcoe/Stokes back, they will be too busy thumping in goals at the other end!

I Call bollox.... Both Kelly and Wojack were fine at the end of last week, no reason they wouldn't play this week.

In keeping with club policy he has general soreness this week.
Before everyone goes ape shit, he club has mapped out a policy for the players over the course of the whole year, in giving players games off during the season.
Given our last three seasons and our current form ,there should be no angst as to how the football department are doing things. As from my point of view things are going along just fine.

He has a terrible history of breaking his leg in interstate matches. Not worth risking him.

Lonergan is starting on the bench, well thats what afl.com is saying, my question is can he start in the forward line or does he have to start where the final teams says.

Im thinking of putting $10 on him for the first goal kicker at 81/1

There are no set positions in footy, he can start wherever Bomber wants.

I think Duncan will be "stiff to be dropped" a few times this year. Glad to see him playing tonight, though I hope Kelly is right for next week.

Great last 5 minutes of the second term with 3 great team goals.

So far my best would be:

5 - Selwood
4- Taylor/Scarlo for their job on Brown
3 - Bartel
2 - Varcoe
1 - Hawkins

don't have tv coverage over here. Statistically Blakes game has been his best of the season, but that means nothing, how's he actually been?

The boys are totally dominating and still only playing in 3rd gear. Should be a cracking game against Collingwood next week.

What is a little irritating though is an inability to turn off the ridiculously biased channel 10 commentary. Clapping from the commentators during early Brisbane goals, suggesting that frees to us are soft, trying to find frees for Brisbane that weren't paid... And again raising the issues of Gaz's unlikely move to the Gold Coast. I thought Blight would still have a soft spot for us, but it seems not. Bring back Anthony Hudson!
