Yeah that is true re buying a membership should mean you don't need to jump through hoops. If you also paid for a reserved seat then I can see it being even more so frustrating as that is basically your purchased seat they're on-selling.

All that said, it's 50% capacity at the moment and still Covid weird so yeah we just need to be patient. Doesn't help that your team is here playing now which is not an every week thing for you.

as an essendon support it would be wasted you have no need for GF tickets, or finals tickets after week 1.


FWIW there are still AFL tickets (level 1 seats) available for the blockbuster North vs Port at Marvel.

Didn't leave the stadium between qtrs though.

No I’ve accessed a ticket but there’s a service fee.
On principle I didn’t buy it and have emailed the club to cancel my membership and ask for a full reimbursement.

And there I was blaming Melbourne supporters for such a poor crowd at the game.
Seriously, $3.15 to reserve a spot in a week with 50% capacity. No walk ups for any types of memberships, why should yours be special?

It’s all memberships.
I just thought after donating last years membership I wouldn’t be hit with a $15 sucharge this year as well as give up 5hrs @ $** of my time to organise it.
Each to their own I’m not going to criticise others.

Fair enough. Your experience seems odd, like it was another Ticketek fiasco. I was thinking about going to that game with my AFL membership and I could book seats on the day no problems.

You would have to assume so. The inability to get guest passes is a bit frustrating for me right now, especially when games aren't selling out. Hopefully we'll be back to 100% capacity soon and can buy guest passes as normal.
