Ok so I'm an afl gold member with geelong club support.

I also have geelong club membership.

What's to stop me going in the ballot with my geelong membership, getting tickets there (yes I know you have to be lucky), also getting tickets with my gold membership, and scalping the tickets I don't want?

Yes this all depends on Geelong making it. But could the system allow for this to happen?
I am silver. I also have a Richmond reserved seat and Richmond barcode, for home games. As silver in 2017 and 2019 the only chance of getting tickets was through the Richmond ballot.
I am pretty sure in 2017 I had to use the Richmond barcode to enter the Richmond ballot but in 2019 Richmond said you had to use the AFL barcode. They said that you couldn't use that barcode to get AFL tickets, regardless of ballot outcome. When I missed the ballot and bought tickets GWS members didn't buy directly from Ticketek I was able to use both barcodes, but that is a different story.
The point is, rules may vary and what to do will become apparent closer to the event. Unless you have guaranteed tickets through the Geelong membership I wouldn't risk it, lest it causes you to run into problems with the AFL membership, as you wouldn't discover that until it was too late.

Lent out mine for the 13, 14 and 15 GFs. Just told my mate to avoid the clipboard barons and they had no issue. Never heard of anyone ever being checked inside the ground.

Haven't lent it since going gold though, as I just went to the GFs instead.

Just an FYI post the Ticketek website queue hot tip posted previously where you [redacted] wasn't as efficient as it usually is, as the other [redacted] was being used for NRL finals tickets.

You’re having a laugh, or they’re having a laugh? $28 fee!! That should be illegal.
It's them...
Well it was around that to book a seat for Cats v Pies in AFL Members section last week.
Swans v Demons I looked on Friday arvo on my AFL app and could scan in general admission for same area on Friday night for nothing.
So basically $28 to reserve a seat for these finals in AFL members area.

Noticed for the Demons game they are selling walkup guest passes, calling it 'General Admission', even though they haven't announced the walkup sections yet. $35 Adult, $25 Concession, $10 JuJunior.
Be the first time all year they've sold GA guest passes
