I think I'd like Dev Robertson and Bobby Hill.

Robertson
Hill
Tsatas
Davey
Davey
Munkara

Easy haha
Bobby hill hard pass, thank god the deal didn’t go through. If you watch the afl agents show that came out they seduced us into giving the deal they wanted, when dodoro originally wanted none of it. Has done absolutely zero this season and won’t be surprised if he’s dropped this week. You’ll almost get the same output from tex within 12 months.

Be happy to land a big fish - once we are consistently playing and winning finals. Until then I hope we keep hitting the draft for mids.

That said I wouldn't mind giving out a first for a solid best 22 mid with a lot of games in him - but no to the JDG's etc.

If your happy to get a bloke for 2 years that's fine. Does not really float my boat. If we bring in someone and they struggle to fill a roolle as well then we are no further than where we are now. Ward is a hard nut and a good player but he has had issues staying on the field in the last 3 years and to top it of GWS seem to suffer from players unable to play consistent footy as much as we do. I question their leadership and team footy nearly as much as ours at times.
More than happy to bring someone in for two years if they're still effective at AFL level.
I just threw Ward's name out there as an option someone had mentioned. Not sure how old Travis Boak is these days but I reckon he'd be perfect.

People seem to be putting a lot of faith in the Davey boys. Can anyone say they have seen them and are that good. From the Way people talk about them it seems like we have a new Coleman and Reynolds coming to us. The pressure on these boys could be huge.

Jackson did his knee again but Alwyn is seen as a possible second Rounder.

Don’t doubt the talent but the hype has been over the top.

Would be stoked to only match a 2nd round bid for Alwyn, it’s looking less likely by the week.

No more small forwards.

Tippa, Tex and Davey x 2 is enough list spots.
Walla is struggling in the VFL
Tex looks so promising but doesn’t nearly have the tank for AFL
Davey twins will be first year players with once coming off an ACL

Would be nothing short of disastrous if those are our small forward stocks going into next year. We need a ready made product like Sam Lowson whilst the kids develop.

Are the Daveys both small forwards? Tippa might retire and Tex is on the rookie list. Its still an area of need. As is the midfield. Same problem as always, we lack big bodies and have 5 or 6 guys running through there undersized. Something has to give. We have quite a few untried talls taking up spots. I think we'll see some movement there at the end of the year. Bit of a logjam in the backline too after bringing in Lord, Kelly, McD while trying to hide Heppell back there a lot of the time and Francis being moved from there already. We could use a key forward too. Still a lot of work and change to go with our list before its in good shape.

Small forwards have to be absurdly talented to go really high in the draft (and even then a lot of the ones that do go that high still don't amount to much) - Thinking Rankine, Ainsworth, Yarran, Tambling here.

Mind you Rachele looks to be bucking the trend from last year who was picked up with pick 6 I believe and he's a beauty.

Most teams tend to prioritise key forwards, midfielders and maybe the odd ruck/key defender with their top picks.
I'd say we'd have to be pretty unlucky to not get our first rounder in before the Davey bid.

Alwyn Davey jr is playing as a midfielder right now but can play forward. Jayden is the pure forward who is out with the ACL.

I have a feeling things are deteriorating fast at Doggie land with Bevo looking more depressed and miserable as each week goes by.

Hopefully a few senior players get sick of it all by years end and want a new environment and look to Tullamarine where the cheque book is open to big offers.
Can’t help but be on JUH watch.

Boak would have a few more km left on the clock and he can play forward as well.

Would we look at a Dunkley type player...

It's not a question of faith.

If they are on the list they are the small forwards.

You can't pack our list, already distorted by the presence of too many KPPs, Smith, Heppell and about 4 midfielders short of what it should be with small forwards.

Alywn is shaping as a late first round pick/early second. He's clearly going to be good enough to take and dedicate a list spot to.

If there isn't confidence in Jayden because of the injuries, fine, agree, do not take him and take some else.

If he continues the way he is and he makes top 5 then it may be okay for us if we trade out our first (if it s in the top 5) for another second and later pick. Alwyn Jnr , two second round picks plus a third and maybe two fourths. Of course if we finish bottom 5 it would be better if we could use our first pick and then get Davey. I suppose another option is use the early first on a trade and then burn the points on the latter picks but I think we need to bring in at least 4 draft age players.

Top 10 might be a bit too early for Davey I’m not sure he is capable of the production he would need to reach those heights but a possible first round bid absolutely.

Alwyn Jnr looks really good . No big but has some X factor and plays forward / midfield. It looks like he will be a first round contender.
Jayden is out for the year but is not as good as Alwyn Jnr and has been a small forward. I suspect he will be very late or rookie draft if he is picked this year.

Any bid after our first will be good

Some at Oakeligh think Jayden is the more talented twin 👀
