If he continues the way he is and he makes top 5 then it may be okay for us if we trade out our first (if it s in the top 5) for another second and later pick. Alwyn Jnr , two second round picks plus a third and maybe two fourths. Of course if we finish bottom 5 it would be better if we could use our first pick and then get Davey. I suppose another option is use the early first on a trade and then burn the points on the latter picks but I think we need to bring in at least 4 draft age players.

I think the strategy for this year is to load up and burn the 2023 draft if we have to.

Reason is that 2022 is full of talls and I think by the end of the year we'll still be looking for a key forward.

I want to the flexibility to take the best available midfielder with the first pick, a tall with the second but still be able to take Davey, which I don't think adds any complication, and Munkara (which could potentially really add a complication).

A boy from the Tiwi at 6'3?! FMD, that is someone I cannot stomach seeing on another list. He could be the second coming.

Bobby hill hard pass, thank god the deal didn’t go through. If you watch the afl agents show that came out they seduced us into giving the deal they wanted, when dodoro originally wanted none of it. Has done absolutely zero this season and won’t be surprised if he’s dropped this week. You’ll almost get the same output from tex within 12 months.

Yeah I watched that stupid AFL agent manager series the other week and that episode with Hill showed him very disappointed they wouldn’t let him go. Dodo quickly moved on because giants wanted someone there while Tobias served his sentence.

As a free hit id give him a list spot for sure, to see if he can prove himself. But he hasn't done a whole lot so far. Our 2nd this year could be a pick in the early/mid 20s which would've been well overs if the deal had gone through

Yeah that pick would be overs, I'd think he's gettable for our 3rd if his form line holds and still wanted out.

I doubt he would, OOC kid wanting out 2 years in a row, he'd fold especially if Hill never finds form.

He still hasn't re-signed since making that trade request. I'm almost expecting him to want out again this year, especially if we miss finals (which is looking more likely by the week). At the very least, I think we lose at least one of Dunkley, Daniel or Dale (the latter two being restricted free agents)

Yeah I wouldn’t say that quite yet, perhaps a bit slim after the best 3 kids at the top end but I currently have players I want to fit into my top 20 and it’s a logjam. We should get a better reading on the whole draft crop this year after the National championships.

Id be ok with taking our first (3) and second (21) and hope we can snare Davey Jnr after that second (doubtful) but a man can dream.

Sounds like another reasonable KPP draft at the pointy end so wouldn't mind looking at a super talented KPF with our first.
