I would have liked Hill last year but seems a bit pointless now with Tex having joined, and Davey squared to join in the draft.

Wouldn’t hold my horses on them. One of the Davey boys just went down with a second ACL while Wanganeen is extremely raw.

Id be very happy with Hopper. Right age and what we need, and could be affordable if the stars align.

Think a big forward is still a pressing need. Jones plays higher and I'd rather Wright was third banana.

Weidemann and Fogarty are the two I'd be looking at, feels like they'd be gettable.

I feel Weideman and Jones are pretty similar in type.

And tbh I would rather gamble on one of Francis/Baldwin/Eyre making it before shelling out the $$$ to bring Fogarty over from Adelaide.

Plus there are a bunch of Key Forward Free Agents next year with Hipwood, McKay, Curnow, Himmelberg, Weideman and Dixon (although he'll be 32 at the end of next year), and some more the year after with Taberner (will be 30), McDonald (32), Larkey, Marshall and Lewis (assuming he signs a 2 year extension for FA). We can afford to be patient on these guys because there will be options there that won't cost draft capital either next year or the year after.

Give him a couple of years to cement a FF spot whilst Baldwin, Eyre, McBride and co develop to challenge.

If we are going at inside mids buried under depth charts, Ely Smith from Brisbane is worth a look.

Highly touted when drafted, but had a couple unluckily timed injuries (just before R1) and buried behind a deep midfield.

Dale Tapping would have a relationship with him as Brisbanes old midfield coach aswell.

We've got a chunk of OOC players this year (assuming Footywire is accurate) so it would be a good time to bring in a few extra guys like that as well as the Davey twins and whoever else gets drafted.
