Swallow does go in, but its that flexibility that i guess has him ahead. plus experience i guess.

GCS have their pecking order, and clubs should be in Hollands' ear.
We should be one.

this is probably where Hollands' issue is
Miller, Rowell, Anderson are the main mids.
Swallow can roll up, Humphrey can play forward.
+ Davies favoured for rotations - would love either of Hollands or Davies to come in

13 traded to Freo for Henry + 21
Shiel part paid for to Saints for 21
Dogs trade 10 & 18 to GCS for 4

21 (shiel), 27 + 37 (Zerk) for 10 on draft night
GCS pick up 600 points for bids.
Maybe line that up with a deal for hollands for F3 prior to.

We wouldn't care so much about triggering an overinflated comp pick given we're unlikely to pick that late
8 + 10 + Baldwin upgrade = our draft.
Goldy, Gresham, Hollands, McKay and Harmes become our additions in the off-season

I don't understand why they would be livid, it's not like the alternative is them just having pick 13, 13 and the potential Shiel trade are intrinsically linked, neither can live while the other survives.

Yeah, it looks like 'we'll give you Shiel if you help us get the pick.'

The pick doesn't materialise if they don't agree to the terms so they're not giving anything away that they otherwise have.

That's the benefit for St Kilda, Shiel for Gresham and more cap space. I can see how that would be valuable for St Kilda in the next 2 season.

I actually think Ralph's English is quite good for a single cell organism.

To be honest it probably requires an additional component going to them to make it truly pass the sniff test. Because I guess the alternative is that they receive a 2nd round pick of some sort and just take that to the draft and that's the end of the story.

Even if we give them a small pick upgrade you can then say they've got a player, they've got cap relief and they've got more draft capital. We pay half a million bucks and a 3rd rounder and a best 22 player for pick 13, hardly nothing.

IF they hand us the pick for Gresham solely for Shiel, that's poor

except they'd get something for Gresham better than Shiel even if not band 1.
Unless we're picking up all the salary for Shiel.

1. Saints are happy to get rid of Gresham.

2. Saints are keen to bring in Shiel.
