Gutted that missile Tayla launched from the centre square didn't take a right turn at the end there. Would have put McCarthy and Ashmore's goals to shame.

Much different game tonight. They stretched our defenders and made it much more difficult for our forwards. It'll be interesting to see what the WB and Carlton are like...but so far Bris and Adel are miles ahead of the rest of the competition.
One of the biggest advantages a team has when they're up late in the 4th is the clock. You can kill so much time playing a scrappy boundary-riding style of play. We've made use of it a few times now.

Fantastic game! I screamed so much at the umpiring and the protected species(Phillips and Perkins etc, who I previously hadn't minded), that my jaws and earholes are aching! I've frightened my cats and dogs with my loungeroom screaming, and flagwaving antics. I might have to avoid neighbours for a little while because of the filthy language that accidentally erupted spontaneously from me, all game! I am Loving this preseason thanks to our Lady Lions. I haven't loved footy so much in years. GO LIONS!!!!

Yeah it's akin to a wet weather game where your structures become less important and it's more about territory & winning individual contests. In a way, footy at it's purest before meddling tacticians ruined everything

McCarthy, when she puts the afterburners on, is so obviously faster than anyone on the field it is extraordinary. What wouldn't you give to have someone with that level of advantage in speed in the men's' team. Her pace is something to behold.

Just wanted to pop in and say well done you Lions - you sure are the real deal. And I sure hope if its not us its you guys left standing at the end (and not those damn Vics!). I was at the match and that was the best womens match of the comp bar none by a very long way and a fantastic match to watch. There is daylight between our two sides and the rest of the comp and not another side in the comp would have beaten either of us tonight. Thanks for a great game - had a ball. Good luck for the rest of the season.
Very hard to get upset about an opposition team when the league is so full of positivity!
Hope to see the Crows in the GF for the same reasons.
