Sun's out, guns out...

Re leadership, sometimes it could be just a feeling amongst enough of the group for a bit of fresh air. Also as new members come in, the long standing captaincy could be a bit of a barrier to fully feeling open and connecting for them. Thus they may feel closer affinity to other senior players like Stannett.

imagine doing that at the mens team. dump Alec Pearce to get Bolton into the team ?

Wasn’t that nsny new faces . But ok
New faces over a number of seasons. Miller was captain for a fair time, a lot of responsibilities and extracurriculars.

The AFLW team seems huge on connection. I'd guess then that approachability and availability would be a big part in the leadership voting (long standing captains might perceptually seem less so), especially as the squad changes.

It's so ****ing easy to make sure kits don't clash. Like it takes an extra second of consideration. And yet someone approved Melbourne wearing a blue that is almost identical to our purple, and didn't even think it would be a good idea to change the shorts colour.

Turnover, ok not great. It's much more annoying when players fade off the player with the ball and instead run with a potential handover option. It's just so non-contested and soft. Not too mention hands over initiative and basically makes their transition so much easier. Need to cut that out and quick.
