Clarko had 6 of his 9 first round picks between end of 2004 and the end of 2007 as part of his premiership side. Over the same period Wallace has had 7 picks. As for a better list, I recall Richmond finished ahead of the Hawks in Wallaces first 2 years, so that would suggest the Tigers list was probably better at the time as Wallace suggested see your own Wallace quote: "I felt that Richmond probably has the better list moving forward."So despite Wallace inheriting a 'better list' (his own words) and recieving numerous early draft picks, he still doesn't have the cattle? Whose fault is that?
Winning a flag doesn't mean you're the best team in the comp. Remember after the Cats flag all the Hawk fans were bleating on about how the Cats weren't the best team in the comp, because they hadn't beaten the Hawks that year. Was that the truth or were the Hawks fans talking crap yet againOur shiny new premiership cup would suggest otherwise....
So you beat 3rd & 4th by 8-9 goals. Port belted the Roos by 15 goals in a Prelim and then got smacked by 20 in the GF. As for the GF, we both know the Hawks were lucky that the Cats failed to show that day. So yeah the Hawks did manage to sneak a flag IMO. Win one without having to use such a disgusting tactic and then I'll accept it as a genuine flag, not a Bradbury one.Sneak one? We belted 3rd and 4th place by 8 or 9 goals each and we then belted the premiership favourites by 26 points - hardly sneaking over the line.
Bowden did it with less than 90 seconds left in the game, to save a win(personally I think it was disgusting), the Hawks did it to remove any possibility of the Cats getting back into the contest, because Clarko knows full well that his cattle isn't anywhere near as good as the Cats. Yet you seem proud of the fact that the Hawks won a flag in such a lowdown dirty cheating manner. So disgusting was it that the rules committee are looking at changing the rules to stop teams doing so again.IIRC, Joel Bowden did it when you were only 4 or 5 POINTS in front - now that's a disgrace as it is obvious he was shitting himself. We did it when we were 4 or 5 GOALS in front, which suggest we just wanted to control the play.
