After 5 Years Terry Wallace Finally Proves He is a Talentless Hack of a Coach

So despite Wallace inheriting a 'better list' (his own words) and recieving numerous early draft picks, he still doesn't have the cattle? Whose fault is that?
Clarko had 6 of his 9 first round picks between end of 2004 and the end of 2007 as part of his premiership side. Over the same period Wallace has had 7 picks. As for a better list, I recall Richmond finished ahead of the Hawks in Wallaces first 2 years, so that would suggest the Tigers list was probably better at the time as Wallace suggested see your own Wallace quote: "I felt that Richmond probably has the better list moving forward."

Our shiny new premiership cup would suggest otherwise....
Winning a flag doesn't mean you're the best team in the comp. Remember after the Cats flag all the Hawk fans were bleating on about how the Cats weren't the best team in the comp, because they hadn't beaten the Hawks that year. Was that the truth or were the Hawks fans talking crap yet again

Sneak one? We belted 3rd and 4th place by 8 or 9 goals each and we then belted the premiership favourites by 26 points - hardly sneaking over the line.
So you beat 3rd & 4th by 8-9 goals. Port belted the Roos by 15 goals in a Prelim and then got smacked by 20 in the GF. As for the GF, we both know the Hawks were lucky that the Cats failed to show that day. So yeah the Hawks did manage to sneak a flag IMO. Win one without having to use such a disgusting tactic and then I'll accept it as a genuine flag, not a Bradbury one.

IIRC, Joel Bowden did it when you were only 4 or 5 POINTS in front - now that's a disgrace as it is obvious he was shitting himself. We did it when we were 4 or 5 GOALS in front, which suggest we just wanted to control the play.
Bowden did it with less than 90 seconds left in the game, to save a win(personally I think it was disgusting), the Hawks did it to remove any possibility of the Cats getting back into the contest, because Clarko knows full well that his cattle isn't anywhere near as good as the Cats. Yet you seem proud of the fact that the Hawks won a flag in such a lowdown dirty cheating manner. So disgusting was it that the rules committee are looking at changing the rules to stop teams doing so again.

Terry Wallace - Copycat

What a gutless, insipid and brain-dead pseudo-coach Terry Wallace turns out to be. After taking over at Richmond all those years ago, Terry told us it was only a matter of time before Richmond returned to their former glories.

Down at Glenferrie, Hawthorn were still looking for a coach, in the end signing Alistair Who? Clarko had tasted the ultimate success before as a coach, had studied hard, developed his own ideas and was a keen student of the game.

Now we see - 5 years on -Al Clarkson is dux of the school while Terry is the dumb kid sitting next to him in class, trying to copy his answers.

Here's a tip, Terry. Get a ****ing clue.

To be fair, he did get a clue.

He realised he was never going to succeed on his own volition, so he resorted to copying one of the best.

As the old adage asks - 'why do something when someone else can do it for you?'

So a comparable amount of picks and 'probably' a better list to begin with yet Clarkson has won a flag and Wallace can't even make the finals.

And you can't see the problem there?

If that's not failure then I don't know what is.

Winning a flag doesn't mean you're the best team in the comp.

Ahh yes it does. That's why you get a big, shiny cup.

But I suppose it's been so long - you've probably forgotten how it works...

Remember after the Cats flag all the Hawk fans were bleating on about how the Cats weren't the best team in the comp, because they hadn't beaten the Hawks that year. Was that the truth or were the Hawks fans talking crap yet again

2007 - Geelong beat everyone except Hawthorn
2008 - Hawthorn beat everyone

Try again.

Don't lie. You would take any success you could get - Bradbury or not.

Cheating? It was permissible as far as the rules were concerned. Sounds like someone is jealous that they picked another dud coach and are still yet to crack a finals spot.

Chin up, sport. It'll have to happen one day. ;)

Albeit a Bradbury flag. IMO, Carltons Wizard Cup GF wins are worth more than the Hawks Bradbury flag.

So you actually admit that the Cats were the best team in 07.

2007 - Geelong beat everyone except Hawthorn
2008 - Hawthorn beat everyone

Try again.
Then again, it seems that rule only applies to the Hawks.

Wow, in one post I've managed to get you to admit that the Cats were the best team in 07 and that the Hawks flag was indeed a Bradbury flag.

As for being jealous, I have never been jealous of those who have got ahead by being lucky, so I don't know why I would be jealous of the Hawks.

Do you really believe that?

Really?

I mean that's almost sig worthy it's that stupid.

So you actually admit that the Cats were the best team in 07.

They won the cup but they didn't beat EVERY team. Hawthorn did it in 2008 - therefore we are, without question, the best.

Wow, in one post I've managed to get you to admit that the Cats were the best team in 07 and that the Hawks flag was indeed a Bradbury flag.

I never said it was a Bradbury flag - I just commented that as aRichmond fan, you'd take anything you could get - even a lucky flag.

As for being jealous, I have never been jealous of those who have got ahead by being lucky, so I don't know why I would be jealous of the Hawks.

Lucky? So it's all down to luck now?

Geez, that means since 1960 we've been the 'luckiest' team in the country. 10 times!!!!

And Richmond, by comparison, have been amazingly UNlucky. So much so that for the last 30 years you can only crack the finals twice.

You should buy a lotto ticket... :thumbsu:

A prime example of why your opinion means shit.
A prime example of someone who take Bay 13 too seriously.:thumbsu:

Article from: The Australian
HAWTHORN is poised to add power to the glory of its 2008 premiership win by becoming the first Victorian AFL club, and only the second in history, to sign 50,000 members.

Certainly, it would amount to an increase of almost 20,000 members in two years and mean the so-called "Big Three" clubs in Melbourne -- Essendon, Carlton and Collingwood -- could no longer deny that they have a fourth member in their select group.

an interesting article for the Beitchmond fans, no mention of a Big 4 which all you wank stains talk about.....see 20yrs of zip, crapola, nothing, zilch have pushed you down the list just above the Dee's....

Yep, the 4th member will exist shortly and your club will still be known as the worse performing club in the modern era....and don't come the Freo line as they have been crap but have at least played a final in recent times.....

Richmond = Shite, crap, useless, nothing of a club :p

Wallace also copied adelaides gameplan of a couple of years ago when he time wasted for ages with the bowdens just chipping it to each other to beat the team he copied it off 'adelaide'.

He also had the gameplan of rushing behinds - see joel bowdens efforts in 2008.

All in all, terry wallace is sh*t for football as hes constantly thinking new ways to ruin a great game. With these terrible plans he has in place richmond will never ever win a premiership unless richo's 2009 season is doubly as good as his 2008 which is highly unlikely.

I just don't understand why Richmond supporters keep defending Terry Wallace when has obviously failed to deliver. Richmond's on field performance during Wallace's reign have been quite ordinary. If the tigers have a bad start this season, then Wallace should be sacked mid season. No more chances should be given.

Clarkson on the other has delivered, even if the hawks did not win the flag, they are a powerful outfit now.

Wow, i just read the article and I am very impressed and delighted :D

The article also mentions that:

The Hawthorn membership figure this time last year, though, was almost 13,000 below what it now is. Of the 36,733 who have already bought tickets, more than a quarter of them are new members as more than 10,000 of last year's members are yet to re-sign.

I have supported hawthorn since i was 7 years (1983), but have NEVER been a member as i rarely go to games. I will definitely sign up this year and help the hawthorn cause. Its about bloody time I became proud, passionate and paid up!

Signed up to BigFooty in Sep 2008 and signing up as a member in 2009.

Yep, another worthless bandwagoner. :thumbsu:
