I think he's said verbal agreement ever since, so perhaps the initial intel wasn't quite on the money.
Everyone makes mistakes. It's how we deal with them that's important here. Getting personal doesn't help at all.

Was questioned after that initial post whether signed meant actually 'signed' and clarified that what it meant was had verbal agreement / agreed in principle. I honestly can't be bothered going back through a thousand pages to find the exact words used.

I have no info on that at this time - original whispers were Thursday but as a previous post mentioned it may need to be after the GC game hence Monday. If it goes past that day then something will have changed.
One thing to keep in mind the Mazda extension may open the club up to questions on the coach - I don’t have any info on this - but perhaps the delay in this is good news in that we do them together or the coach first.
The only thing I can confirm is allegedly the coach (Patch) and captain were having a meeting on Thursday where they were to be told what’s happening. I do not know if this has been brought forward or cancelled.

Would be crazy to do a media conference announcement in the current environment as the sponsorship message would be lost - the journalists would focus entirely on asking questions re the coaching position.

The purpose of a sponsorship announcement is to maximise the exposure of the partnership between the Club and sponsor, not to have it lost in the biggest media frenzy in football.

all our hope has been based on someone’s daughter hearing something at work ?

I can be a pessimistic bastard I own that 100% but we are all delusional if that’s our basis’, couple that with changing narratives and I think all we can really rely on is that we are in the game.

I have messaged KIA directly and he has been gracious enough to reply to me I have no doubt that he has been not mischievous in his messaging to us but the bottom line is it’s all innuendo.

The only thing that gives me some hope is there has been zero leaks from north Melbourne, that speaks magnitudes in my opinion for Sonia and I am hopeful still that it bodes well for us securing Clarkson.
