Any chance of them dropping down a league to Ellinbank where they would be more competitive or are there too many teams there already?
You serious ********?
Yep your right mate.
I have said many times both leagues are fairly similar. Alberton probably has stronger juniors as most are bigger towns, seniors are similar but Ellinbank teams have more star players. Ellinbank is improving quicker though being so close to berwick/paky/cranbourne so much easier to get players.
That league is good in theory but no way would any ellinbank clubs want to swap leagues, we have not much travel in our league and its easier to attract players playing closer to growth areas.
They are travelling well at the moment l don`t think any side will beat Wonthaggi at this stage ? but they would be a very good side in Ellinbank Comp. As for finals they have, l think only missed once in the past 5 years. How have KB been traveling lately? Having played for them a few years back would be interested if someone could fill me in. They were a great club to play for.
Noticed they still havent played finals since joining the Alberton league even though they had teams that probably should have, just lacked depth and a bit of consistency.

Good to hear panthercat hope the hard work pays off.
Who's coaching these days?
Gee ellinbank league must have really improved over the last 4 or so years.
Dennis Vague has been coaching last 3 years and has retired from coaching. It would be great to have Ben Fraser back it would also be good to have Brent MacCaffer (Collingwood) Mitch Golby & Dale Hoghton (Gippsland Power) back as well joining Steve Obrien not a bad side and all locals who game through the jnrs at K-Bass.
There is no harm in dreaming.
Heyfield boy for some time...
nah they didnt but they r getting themselves a pretty ordinary finals record, heard on the w/e that since they merged in 2001 they have only ever won 1 final and that was there 1sti didnt think they finished top 2 last year did they?
