Moore continued to play 3-4m off him and allowed him to run and get the ball at it's highest point.. You cannot play Darcy that way, and unfortunately for Moore, that's how he likes to play so it allows him an opportunity to intercept.

Moore is gonna have to improve as we have nobody else to come in to play on a Darcy type and wrestle given Howe plays the exact same way and Frampton doesn't have the size.

On the bolded… what? Frampton is 201cm and 100kg, there’s barely any difference between him and Moore in regards to size.

What a crazy night it was last night, a lot of respect between the two clubs and people can get all tied up in the umpiring until the cows come home, it was a really well done celebration and the game was a cracker.

Eddie McGuire earlier in the week said that there was a time where Collingwood were essentially going to pay off all our debts and would absorb the Dogs completely. You're right to point out how we got screwed over in the SCG match last year.

I think we got the rub of the green after quarter time, so no denying that especially around some 'insufficient intent' and deliberate calls. However in spite of the lopsided free kick count, we only kicked 1 goal from a free kick. The Dogs kicked 2 from free kicks.

Moore battled manfully, but it showed how much we miss Murphy. His closing speed to be the third man at the contest would have been damn handy against Darcy.

Exactly. I hate saying it because Darcy has one of the most punchable faces in the AFL (although I probably couldn’t even reach it to connect), but when he’s going up and marking the ball at the highest point of his leap with arms fully outstretched like last night I don’t think there’s a player in the AFL who can stop him.

I really dislike Darcy because of his late dirty hit on Bruzzy last year

Agree. He’s a reasonable lock down defender and allows Darcy to be a little more free.

I don’t understand why he’s not getting more games. I thought he and Darcy Moore were getting in sync for a bit last year when our season was back on track after the 0-3 start.

People expend so much energy believing the umpires are biased against their club yet they don't bother to learn basic rules. I'm glad many on here have explained a simple interpretation. Education. Education. Education.

Any love for Josh Daicos. Was again rock solid at half back. 25 touches at 84% disposal efficiency. Was a little loose early which cost a goal, but was crisp and clean all night, with plenty of run, which was great with Houston being quiet on the night.
