Honestly, that'll be a fun Rampage.

Harley will get a massive ovation in Brisbane.

Are you heading up for the event, RossFC?
If it was in SA or Vic I probs would have considered it.

Quite a lot to unpack from the last week.

Another very good PPV, with a very special 80 minutes of action from the Women's Title match through to Fletcher's ascension. The finale was chaotic, but it did give the Death Riders story a huge shot in the arm by involving more players into the title picture.

The right decision was made to change venue for Grand Slam. It looks as though the BEC was put on standby when the original booking was made, so it worked out well. I hope some lessons have been learned. Need to fill the joint now, or the prospects of future shows would be in doubt. It was funny seeing all the cheap seats being scooped up hours after the venue change.

ESPN hold the rights to Grand Slam, so as long as you have access to that, it's a freebie. Whether that is going to be live is debatable given how they treat AEW programs, but I'm sure they will.

I'm fascinated to see what we get at Grand Slam. I've no clue what to expect. Perhaps a third of the night devoted to a Collision taping for TNT and MAX then the rest of the night a PPV like event for MAX. Questions without answers until the week of the event I suspect.

The presentation of AEW has improved since WrestleDream with more talent being used via promos and interviews to build up stories. With such a big roster, you might as well use it, even if it is only for 60 seconds at a time. Definitely hitting more than it's missing.

Changes to the pointy end of the Continental Classic are welcomed. Repeat matches at the semi-final stage didn't sit well and a crossover felt necessary. The Semis and Final on the same night is an interesting development and look forward to seeing it action before passing judgement.

December shaping up to be a great month.

Looks clear to me that The Death Riders don't care about Yuta, got beat up by Hangman and Jay White and they all walked off.

Over on Rampage, HarleyGram takes her mask off and says "It was me all along!" and then the crowd chants holy shit, lol.

Kamille wiped out backstage, guess that takes her off TV for a while.

Hechicero vs Komander was a solid main event.

The only concern now will be that the smaller venue means they leave more talent at home, since the show won't feel as 'big'.

Hopefully that isn't the case.

I genuinely believe the WWE Elimination Chamber from Perth was one of the poorest excuses for a PPV/PLE since ECW December to Dismember.
Only 4 matches.
A main event featuring Nia Jax in singles competition.

AEW has a chance here to show an Australian audience what separates them from the WWE.
If they load the card with 9 bangers, like most of their PPV's, it might win over some new fans down here, simply be presenting a different type of wrestling product.

As much as I'm a WWE mark, WWE have always had the fly in and out mentality with shows.

Problem with Chamber, just like Grand Slam is that it's sandwiched between two big PPVs.

Throw in the distance and time difference - I worry that they won't treat this like a full PPV event.

That being said, AEW always tends to have really good PPVs, so regardless of the talent that comes out, am sure it will be a fun event.

I see Dustin Rhodes is trotting out the typical "Just enjoy wrestling" stuff after the recent AEW criticism online, at this point that line basically means "Don't criticise my favourite company/the company I work for "

wrestling tribalism is exhausting these days and so hard to avoid

It really doesn't... it means that tribalism is pointless, reductive and self-defeating, and that if people were open-minded they'd see both companies doing some great stuff.

"Just enjoy wrestling" has become tribalism in itself at this point though, it's used whenever a company gets criticised and the people and fans involved don't like it, it used to be valid, now people have overused it that it's lost the original meaning.
