Malakai Black and I have 3 things in common.

1. We both love Buddy
2. We both think Julia Hart is an outstanding talent (not withstanding her horror bump last week)
3. We’re both sick of dirtsheet bullshit. You can tell how fed up he is to be addressing it here.

Been pretty underwhelmed by dynamite today so far. Wanted to like the Bryan v daddy magic match, but they just didn’t click, heaps of daylight between some moves and it felt like they almost just hit the abort button at the end. (Not helped by a dead crowd).

the Wheeler v MJF mic battle was just annoying. Yuta has zero charisma on the mic, and lost his confidence mid promo - and the crowd. But even MJFs reply was crap, too shouty, too bagging the city and sports team gimmicky, and again just felt NQR.
The whole ep so far has felt a bit NQR, and lacking more polish than usual (especially up against WWEs 2 main shows that have lifted their game this week).

Having the champ fight someone not even on the roster, again, is a bit weak - annoying that you’ve got guys like Miro waiting for a shot, and you get these dead matches. Even Paige/Sarayah(?) got an incredibly flat reaction just then considering it’s her second time turning up.

maybe it’s just Philly lol

edit: “your name rhymes with shit”. Wow.
edit edit: ”this is a lumberjack match. for the championship” crickets.
Geez she was bad on the mic

They have people that can't attend due to the Hurricane don't they? Might have thrown them out a bit. Won't bother watching this week and agree about weird with other talent getting matches against the top champ when you have your Miro's etc waiting.

Don't know much about Robinson , was it a good match or a standard Mox brawl with him bleeding?

option B.
The whole show has felt “off” - dunno how much a hurricane in Florida affects Philadelphia?

The crowd is flat as a tack, too many promos were done by people lacking confidence, and I reckon the crowd are genuinely disappointed to not see the Acclaimed.

Main event, while it has been good, is again another match between an AEW star and effectively a random (to 99% of viewers). Fully makes sense why they are fighting, but tough for the AEW mainstream crowd to care, like Mox’s match.

Just feels like they are blowing heaps of decent AEW talent for all these travelling acts

T

I think he meant talent - Florida talent were allowed to stay home.

I thought the main event was excellent, I think/hope Bandidi just won himself a job.

Nothing else stood out too much, but the 2 bourse raced by, which is always good.

I think that was the worst Dynamite I've ever seen. It felt like a bad RAW.

I wasn't convinced that Saraya was a great idea and that promo has me even more concerned.

I'll also lose my mind if they swerve us on the Garcia turn because I'm fully invested in his face switch.

Doesn't seem like it is worth watching then but did see some clips on socials and Bandido looked very good.
I would cut them slack with this episode with the hurricane issues that may have effected talent being able to attend but still now years on my main issue with AEW is it feels so hard to keep up with what is happening with certain talent.

Just to throw some names out there but Brian Cage, Miro, Archer, Pillman Jnr for example they could have two weeks in a row on dynamite then they are gone for months. I feel like in the last 6 months I have seen the same Moxley match 1000 times over, Jericho has been in a shit load of matches it seems , couple of other talent that seem like they are on every week then the flip side to that which I find a negative is what is happening with Wardlow the guy had the momentum of a star and now its sort of flopped, FTR ? Miro? Claudio? Kingston?

I know they have a huge roster which is causing problems with people getting time but given they only have a small number of PPVs surely they could make the most of the talent they have and create stacked Dynamites with their own talent say for example Miro or Kingston could have been in that match with Mox rather than an outsider.

I can understand not being able to get out of Florida but why would anyone stay home??

Today was another one of those shows that was eminently skipable from a storyline perspective, but I feel like the reward was there to watch it. I thought the tag title match and the main event were really good, and I think there’s a couple of interesting wrinkles being added to the womens division with Willow & Jaymie as the home grown (ie. non-WWE) kind of quietly building to something in the background.

Plenty of “it’s still real to me dammit” vibes on socials in response to Andrade’s AEW career being on the line.

I hope AEW 'read the room' regarding Hayter. It's good to do long term stories but if crowd is ready and wanting someone to break out like they are with Hayter it's also important to go with that. Especially considering apart from Brit and Saraya and to a lesser extent Rosa, none of their women are particularly over.

Looking forward to Rush v Page on Wednesday.

Hayter is my favourite AEW female wrestler by a long way. Can't believe she hasn't broken away from Britt after so long.
